Cousins Reminiscing

Well, Tanya, Cosette and Dominic are finally here on the East Coast!! It's hard to imagine that a year ago, we hadn't even seen each other in over 30 years and here we are today, close friends, writing a blog together!!! What a difference a year makes!
If you haven't read Our Story, please do!  It's an amazing family reunion story. 

THE GANG TEXTED THIS TO ME AT TAKE OFF YESTERDAY

We decided to meet up early today before Tanya headed up to New England  The original plan was to wait the week to get together until the 22nd when they return from New Hampshire, but being spontaneous (which is a real delight for me, because I'm usually so scheduled and a bit rigid), I suggested to Tanya (at take off!) that we try to get together in the wee hours of the morning today for a quick in-person hello and even grab a bite to eat.  What a nice way to start off their trip in NYC!! We will be posting pictures of our get together tomorrow!!

After breakfast, I'm off to spend the day with Kelsey and nephew Julian tomorrow!! So excited for tomorrow - theatre day with Mom and her friend Irene. This week we are going to see A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder.  This won the 2014 Tony for Best Musical.  Check back next Monday (July 21) for my review on the show and my day with theatre partner Mom!

We made it! Yippeeee!

Writing to you from Good 'ol NYC.
Actually landed in Philly, and what does a foodie do in Philly? They go have a cheesesteak! Well, being vegan our cheesesteak was a bit different than what that an Omni might not imagine, be it was delish nonetheless! Stopped at Govindas before our drive to NYC, and indulged in some yummy (messy sandwiches). All while watching and enjoying the electrical storm that greeted us. With tons of rain pouring and a grand display of lightening, we even got to finish off our meal with vegan ice cream! And they had Butter Pecan - boy oh boy was that amazing!

As for this morning, after a couple of stops our gang is heading up to Lake Winnipeasaukee! First stop planned is none other than Dun-Well Donuts! These kids can't wait! 
Next we're very excited with the added plans of a quick get together with Elisa, Kelsey, and Julian! Plus a run into the market for some supplies for our road trip! And then we'll be on our way! I'm sure Dave, Dominic, and Cosette will all be catching up on extra Zzz's while I do all the driving (which is usually the case)! LOL
Once we get up to the lake, we'll be catching up with yes another group of cousins!

As for tomorrow, while we are relaxing at the lakeside resort, Elisa will be heading into the city to see A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder. I can't wait to hear about it and to read her review, especially since I'll be going to see that next month on my way to London!

These guys are having a slow morning, but I think we are finally about to get outta here and hit the road.
