A Closer Look at The Seychelles Islands

Hello Guys!!

Sorry for being MIA yesterday.  Life is still up and down with Dad's death, selling my house and looking for a new home.

However, I'm extremely positive!

At present, I'm putting together my short road trip to Pittsburgh at the end of the month.  More on this to come!

​So, what is the best thing to do when you have so much on your plate?  Put something new on your bucket list!

My new fascination is with The Seychelles Island!

This destination has fascinated me for many years - actually, way back to when I was in my 20's.  Never having an opportunity to visit, I have moved the Seychelles Islands up in order of importance!

Located approximately 930 miles off the eastern coast of Africa in the heart of the Indian Ocean, The Seychelles Islands is an archipelago made up of 115 tiny islands that are well known for their soft, white-sand beaches, crystal clear waters, and unique wildlife.

According to the article, "They are beautiful year-round but the best time to visit is in spring or fall when the islands are less crowded and the weather is nearly perfect."

A great locale for snorkeling and scuba diving, the islands also have a number of events of which to take note when planning your trip: 

• Seychelles Ocean Festival: Held annually in December, this underwater festival celebrates the importance of the world's oceans.
• Seychelles Eco-Friendly Marathon in February.
• Seychelles National Fishing Tournament which raises funds for charity in April.
• Carnival of Victoria celebrates multiculturalism, diversity, and history on the islands.
• Turtle hatchlings begin their march to the sea in January and it lasts until March.
