LONG LIVE ROCK!
Hello out there...
Can you tell just from looking at the magazine cover picture that I had a GREAT time in Cleveland?! This visit to Cleveland was based on my annual trip to go watch the MLB All Star game, attend all the events and stay to check out the city! It was my second visit to this very welcoming and friendly town that is full of brotherly love and city pride... Which here in the USA was quite refreshing to witness because it is something that you hardly find these days. Yesterday was all about rocking out at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame where I boogied my way through 6 floors of pretty darn cool artifacts, while Dave B. was beyond excited and overwhelmed - something that was really nice to see - being that he is not generally all that thrilled and is more of the stand-by type of guy while I'm always the girl full of life and excitement! I strolled, bopping along and enjoyed, although not really "knowing my stuff" (and several things were before my time), while Dave (who knows music) was totally enamored. 25 American Landmarks to see before you die
HOWDY!!!
Another hot and sunny day here on Long Island! But, make no mistake, I'm loving every minute of it!! Yesterday, me and Gianna took a lovely drive up to The Bronx for a little breakfast at DeLillo's Cafe in Little Italy. I had a wonderful meeting with Alexandra Maruri, founder of Bronx Historical Tours and I'm hitting the "keyboard" today with lots of writing assignments for upcoming blogs and feature articles! For today, I came across a really fun article in The Discoverer Blog - one of my favorite travel sites around: 25 Classic American Landmarks To See Before You Die
The list includes a number of sites I have been fortunate enough to see and experience, as is the case with Old Faithful in Wyoming!!
It is truly amazing to me just how many gorgeous natural and man-made treasures this county holds!! See how many you have visited...
The places with asterisks indicate where I have visited -- it's clear that I have many more places to see!! I know that my dear cuz has seen a few more than me, as evidenced in these prior blog posts: Scenes from Monticello
So much to see and so little time!!
Enjoy Tanya's recap of her visit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!! Back tomorrow!! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
