Elisa's Daily Scoop Covering Long Island & NYC Boroughs
NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 20 DAYS:
Elisa & Tanya Together in 15 Days with Fun Plans in N.Y.
July is just moving right along and clearly, the girls are enjoying the relaxation of summer.
I'm super proud of them since they have both decided to fully embrace exercise and fitness. They've been pretty committed to hitting the gym, pretty much daily. It's a great habit for them to develop.
What's so nice about Lifetime Fitness is that they allow the kids (over 11) to participate in classes and have free use within the facility. That has worked out great for Gianna since two of her friends are members as well, and they have taken dance and cycling classes together, not to mention the terrific outdoor pool!
Elisa & Tanya Together in 10 Days!!!
Of course, I'm just totally excited that I'll be seeing my bestie cousin, Tanya in ten days!!! Yup - she will be in New York with the kids and we have three days scheduled together!!

As for today, me and the girls will be going to see an early movie - Ocean's 8.
Then, we'll head over to the post office to renew the girls' passports.
Finally, a trip to the gym!!

NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 2 DAYS:
Getting ready for our trip
Well folks, here I am with only 2 days to go and still so much more to do.
We are also still on a bit of a high over here with the kids coming off of winning the silver at WCOPA on Sunday.

Cosette already has her eyes set on going next year and I do so hope that she has the opportunity.
What that means for me is that I will have to adjust some of our travel arrangements. Namely over the July 13th - 21st dates.
With that in mind it looks like we'll not be going to NH next summer and the Bermuda cruise needs yet another adjustment. And I had already adjusted the dates on that one from the original May 2019 date to July 2019 - so that we can pedal in the 2019 Five Boro Bike Tour!
CHANGES CHANGES. As long as I find out with enough time, then changes are a challenge, but definitely doable.
As you can see, Elisa has shared some of the fun to be had once us cousins get back together!
We are all looking forward to and quite excited about our upcoming visit.
Speaking of which, I already helped Dave pack a couple of days ago. I helped Cosette choose what she's packed, I've got the majority of days packed for myself and last night after my IPC meeting and Michael's birthday celebration, I helped Dominic get all of his clothing for the trip together. Not in the luggage yet, since I have to pull his out of the garage (today).
Of course there are the last minute items that I seem to always throw in at the last(ish) minute.
No matter how ahead of the game I am or how far in advance I've got things planned. I still have last minute things to toss in my suitcase!
I've got to head out here in a few and I'll be gone pretty much the rest of the day.
So before I leave, I want to share a few pictures with you from last night at my brother's birthday dinner...
All 15 of us sat around a table that wasn't made for 15! We squished and Cosette, Myself and Mika had even shared 2 chairs, since there was no way of fitting a 15th chair around the table!!
After dinner, we went home, had cake and the birthday boy opened gifts and the rest of the night was full of more hanging out with the family.
That was my night. The next couple of days are gonna be cray cray!
On that note, I'm signing off now. -Travelin' Tanya
