Happy Canada Day! What a great day yesterday was! I decided to train it into Manhattan to visit the box office in person and purchase tickets for Aladdin, the newest Disney show on Broadway. While I got tickets for the day and time we wanted, we had to settle for three seats down the row from the rest. That's okay. As long as we are all coming and going together and watching it at the same time, it will be a blast! I had decided to make it a Mommy & Kelsey day, so together we traipsed around the city, up and down Broadway and 7th Avenue. After securing the play tickets, we headed over to Toys R Us in Times Square. We took a ferris wheel ride - one of the attractions of this super sized toy store and then made our way through the Candyland section, Wonka World and Barbie display! Couldn't resist purchasing some candy and strolled around the store a bit more before heading back to Penn Station, where we grabbed some lunch for the ride home. It was a fun five hours and it was nice to spend some quality time with my littlest! I've come to love Tuesdays since starting Travelin' Cousins since it's the day Tanya and I get to update you on our progress on upcoming trips. Our New Mexico Road Trip is almost completely finalized! Going forward on our New Mexico Road Trip Blog, we will spend time chatting and going into detail about the various sites and attractions on our itinerary. Today, in Part 8, it's all about Balloon Fiesta, the inspiration for putting this trip together in the first place! It also happens to be Canada Day! This is the day that Canadians celebrate the day the British North America Act created the Canadian federal government on July 1, 1867. In honor of our neighbors to the north, I thought I would share The 9 Best Places to visit in Canada as well as the Top 20 Canadian Slang Words for some laughs, eh? -E  | You ain't Never had a Friend like Me!Today I have to finalize our July 4th menu for tomorrow's run around and shop for it all day! This year the kids will be performing with the International Peace Choir at a huge July 4th celebration, and it will be Cosette inaugural day as the Ambassador of Italy! Every Monday night the kids have choir rehearsal, and last night I had a travel meeting regarding the IPC heading to Orlando for America Sings next February. Well, my own personal feelings about this trip is that it is going to go BUST! The membership is not going to be given the opportunity to hear about the travel package that would save them 33% off of the price that they are going to be offered. What ever happened to doing what's best for the group? Next Monday night at our associates meeting, it should be determined one way or another. We shall see..
