Tanya's Daily Scoop Covering the West Coast & the World CURRENTLY TRAVELING THROUGH: NEBRASKA
First ski day of the season!
GREETINGS from the open road of....Nebraska!
Who the heck knows where I'll be on any given day. LOL
Well at least I am here bopping quite a bit earlier today then I have been the past few days.
Yesterday was my first day skiing of the 2019-2020 season. We enjoyed the slopes of Park City and Canyons as the snow flurries fell and gave us some lovely fresh power to glide through.
And lo and behold while we were on the Orange Bubble Express and as I was in the middle of telling the story that took place on Feb 11, 2018 there was a HUGE MOOSE right below us!!! Wow! That was so crazy. At first I thought it was a moose statue and then I was totally stunned and totally forgot to pick up my camera and snap any pictures! Oh well. Maybe there will be another moose experience before this season is over.
After spending the day on the slopes and being beyond famished, we had drove to the local Whole Foods and parked right next to a young girl who had seemingly been stuck with a dead battery. Of course offering to help as much as we could, we charged her battery but to no avail, her Jeep wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.
The poor girl was in tears, I had asked if she had any roadside service or a ride home and she confirmed that no she did not have roadside services, and hoped that she had a ride home but her major stress was that she needed to get back to work which was right down the road at the local outlet mall (that I was quite familiar with from all the little shopping sprees with Dominic and Cosette). Without a second thought I offered the poor thing a ride and wished her better luck for the rest of her evening.
We then headed back to Whole Foods and actually went in this time, gathered whatever food stuffs that we needed and as much as I'd like to say that we were merrily on our way - we were not. As there was an incident that took place while we were shopping and one that I very well may not be able to forgive. SUCKS but so does having a dead battery.
I'm still not speaking to my travel mate, but I am in very good spirits!
Back atcha tomorrow, -Travelin' Tanya
