Elisa's Daily ScoopWeathering the Stress StormGood day to you!! It's still early, but I'm having one of those days -- a little stressed out, pulled in different directions, lots to do. I guess it happens, right? When I'm having one of these days, I just repeat what my Grandma Rose used to say to me "This too shall pass." And I know it will. The good news is, it's really sunny and bright out,w which, for me, makes the stress easier to deal with. The not-so-good news is that the temps are in the low teens today! Yes, Sirree, it's a cold one!! Today Gianna had another baking class. I can't wait to see what goodies they make today! It's always a surprise when I go and pick her up! So, are you ready for Super Bowl Sunday? I am still trying to figure out my plans. The guys are planning a little football and beer at my house tomorrow. As for us girls, we have a few options. With or without the kids - but I'm really leaning towards NO KIDS lol. Perhaps dinner out and then back to one of our houses for some wine, chatting and laughter. I'll keep you posted on what the final decision turns out to be!! Have a great Saturday! -E | Tanya's Daily ScoopPartying with Bonhomme! What an awesome party it was going to the opening ceremony and crowning of the 61th annual Quebec Winter Carnaval last night! And although we really couldn't understand much of what was being said (being that the official language is French - and we don't speak French). We still all managed to have a total total blast! So much freakin' FUN! And like I had mentioned before; I already had the feeling that I was gonna want to come back and redo this trip - it is now CONFIRMED & on THE CALENDAR! I have moved another 2016 trip around, postponed a different one, discussed the idea with the rest of these guys and we have all decided that... We are coming back for the 62nd Annual Quebec Winter Carnaval!!! Ok Elisa, you know what that means... Let's make it a Travelin' Cousins trip to Partay with Bonhomme at the 62nd Quebec Winter Carnaval!! In addition to the highlight of the day and going to the Carnaval, we had also strolled and shopped Petit Champlain, which is the oldest commercial district in North America (not to mention quite picturesque). We had passed some of the beautiful frescoes and murals that La Cité has to offer! We went to Maple Tasting, learned much about Chocolate at the Érico Chocolate Museum, rode the Funicular, shopped at J A Moisan's (the oldest grocery store in North America, dating back to 1871), and hugged a few trees while we were at it! Much more fun happening today... Which will be shared in tomorrow's Daily Scoop! I'll meet you back here tomorrow on our last day here in Quebec and fill you in on all the fun! Until then, I wish you a most wonderful Saturday doing whatever it is that you do! -T |
