Dreaming of Mediterranean Cruises
A big hello. Here we are, about to say goodbye to January and Winter is letting itself be heard with the arctic temps throughout the country.
Here on Long Island, it was 1 degree this morning when my alarm went off!! It has since cooled to a balmy 7 degrees lol. I put two coats on Punkin this morning before she went outside and I piled on the layers before driving the kids to school.
The best thing to do when its too cold to spend time outside, is to dream about it! Found a great article about Mediterranean cruises in The Telegraph, which I know you will enjoy.
If you are thinking about taking a Mediterranean cruise, consider some of these outlined in this piece, on many of the major cruise line, including even a Disney Cruise from Barcelona to Naples, which includes Civitavecchia (for Rome), Livorno (Florence/Pisa), and Villefranche (Monte Carlo/Nice)!! Today, there is nothing too crazy going on except for the fact that Tanya and I will be catching up with a much-needed chat!
In addition from general business issues, we will also be chatting about our Taste of Sicily trip, this coming June/July. Will keep you in the loop!! Have a fab day! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
Upcoming weekend plans and beyond
Hiya folks! I'm ready for the weekend. What about you?
It's not that it's been a crazy week or anything like that. In fact this weekend is going to definitely be quite a bit more crazy. So no relaxing there. We've got a performance with the IPC on Saturday and then our Pizza making party on Saturday night, of which I will be busy at home on Friday night whipping out all of the pizza sauce and tons of pizza dough! Then of course we have Sunday. Super Bowl Sunday. Practically a National Holiday. Not that I'm a big football fan. Not that I'm a football fan whatsoever.
But I do love events and this is a great day to have an event. Some of the boys are more into the game and who wins. Personally I don't like either team. Kinda of like what happened to me for the World Series and I love baseball!
And after looking at the calendar, now I'm thinking that instead of going to Chicago for Valentine's weekend that I may prefer to bop over there the weekend prior to Valentine's. Still in the works, as I have yet to pull the trigger on the flights. What I did pull the trigger on was the Lake Tahoe stay - albeit rather very late! And the Lake Winnipesaukee hotel - July.
It always feels good to get things booked.
As for yesterday, there really wasn't anything too exciting to report. We are expecting rain today and then later on this afternoon I'll finally be chatting with Elisa. Sooooo much to talk about! And we really need to figure out Sicily. On that note, I'll bid you adieu. Lots to do before getting on the phone with my dear cuz! Tootles, -Travelin' Tanya |
