So you might be wondering... If I am on the road and heading to Las Vegas - the mega playground that it is, then why oh why on Earth would I be disappointed???
Well, ya see this trip originally started as just a visit to Vegas. Which is perfectly fun and fine for me!
But then I found out that our buddy Cody was gonna be celebrating his birthday on Jan 6th with a little snow shoeing fun and an overnight at a yurt - all in Utah.
Well what the HECK I'd already be part of the way there, so I'd cut my Vegas trip short and head up to Utah to join in and play in the snow!
Dave had even agreed to come along. And the plan was and had been in motion. That was until Monday...
My mother had been voicing her concerns since the get go - but what could I expect...it's my mom and that is what she does.
Sure it drives me crazy, but I know it all comes from her heart and this is how she shows that she cares....by worrying! LOL
Something I'm quite use to - it's an Italian thing!
So between her worrying and Dave voicing his concerns it led to one heck of a stressful yesterday.
I tried fighting through it and then eventually just threw in the towel and decided that it was best to cancel (the snow shoeing).
I'm still off to Vegas! I didn't cancel the entire trip - I haven't gone completely nuts!!
So this is my bopping in to give you the SCOOP.
Before heading to Vegas, I'll also be taking Cosette to visit Dream.
It's gonna be quite the day...
Catch y'all tomorrow - from Sin City! -T

So how is your first week of the new year going?
My day yesterday was quite productive and frustrating at the same time. I had a pretty big “to do” list with it being the first day back from the Christmas-New Year’s vacation with phone calls to make, bills to pay, and a few packages to get out (yes, I just sent a few Christmas presents to my parents in Florida - yikes!). That was all in addition to house chores like laundry, vacuuming and straightening.
All went well throughout the day except for my phone calls to the insurance company. I made three separate calls, each having me on hold for 1 HOUR each time and never getting a human on the line!!! I was more than pissed off. Thankfully, by 5pm, I was able to speak with a customer service representative to straighten out a few issues. But, I will tell you, I was ready to rip my hair out prior to getting a live body on the line.
One exciting part of my day was getting tickets to the touring musical, Dirty Dancing at the Tilles Center of Performing Arts LIU Post College on Long Island.
Dirty Dancing – the classic story on stage is a record-breaking live theatre sensation, exploding with heart-pounding music, passionate romance, and sensational dancing. Featuring the hit songs, Hungry Eyes, Hey Baby, Do You Love Me? and the heart-stopping (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life. You’ll have the time of your life! (photo credit: tillescenter.org)
Looking forward to seeing the show this weekend with my theatre-lovin' daughter, Kelsey. Unfortunately, I couldn't talk Gianna into coming with us, so it will be an evening of bonding for me and my youngest.
I'll be giving you lots of information on the Tilles Center and 28 other performing arts centers on Long Island and Queens in my feature on Monday January 29th.
My personal favorite is Montego Bay at Round Hill Resort - would love to be getting a seaside massage right about now!!

Today I have an exciting day of more errands and a trip to the orthodontist. However, the highlight of the day will be my conversation with my "baby" cuz, Tanya later this evening to touch base before she starts her winter traveling!
