Tanya's Daily Scoop Covering the West Coast & the World NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 5 DAYS
Good Day Everyone!
While I have 5 days before taking off on our next trip, it really feels like less, probably because I still have so much to do. I'm sure I'll manage - I always do! lol
If you've been following along on my ski drama - there is now even more to the story. But it appears that I will have a happy ending after-all.
After posting and sharing all of my frustrations yesterday. Dave was left with the task of contacting REI to find out if a heel replacement was available for my boots and if there was any way of having it expedited. Well they (Head) had it and they are going to expedite shipment to REI. Meaning that I am going to keep my new skis after-all and not have to worry or be concerned about REI not being able to do a safety check.
Now I can go back to being excited about my new skis again! We should be able to pick everything up by Saturday or Monday the latest.
And now (or I should say once I received this information) I can hop off of that emotional roller coaster! I'm not wanting to get back on. To me the ride is over!
One of the things on my to do list before we depart for our next trip is the meal planning - in general I am way behind on this task, but being that we are going to 2 of the ski towns which we fairly frequent I'm not too concerned about it.
I managed to get a lot of the planning done yesterday for the 14 days that we'll be gone. Only a bit more to do and I'll be finished!
Another thing that Dave confirmed was that he is in fact going to join us for not only the first weekend (in Breckenridge) but also the second weekend in Park City!
So we took care of his flight & once I help him pack (I still need to do our packing too) then he'll be ready to go!
Another thing that we (Dave and I) finally did was surprise the kids with concert tickets that we picked up months and months ago. Tomorrow night we are going to an 80's concert to be bop to the tunes of: Boy George, Adam Ant, The Bangles, Violent Femmes, Salt-N-Pepa, The Romantics, Tone-Loc, A Flock of Seagulls, Dramarama, Grandmaster's Furious Five, The Sugarhill Gang and Nick Heyward.
It should be a blast from the past!
This will be our third of it's kind, as we went to two similar 80's concerts about a year ago...
Okay it's time that I see what I manage to accomplish off of my list today!
For one, I know that we are about to head to the stables.

A Day in the Life
Hey! I'm off to a running start this morning as I have a very busy day.
As usual, my morning is a whirlwind - taking care of Punkin - feeding her and letting her out, getting the kids' lunches together and with all this cold weather, starting up the car so it's warmed up by the time we pile in to head to school.
It's a rare occasion that my kids take the bus TO school. Not only does driving them give us all and extra 30 minutes in the morning, which, trust me, is a valued commodity, but, the bus stop for pick up is around the corner. So, being the doting mom that I am, I've just make it part of my morning routine to drive them.
The latest thing has been to get Dunkin' Donuts in the morning. With the Dunkin' App on her phone, Gianna places an order each day for her and Kelsey. With Punkin in tow, we all head to America's favorite doughnut shop, pick up the grub and then head to school. I thought I would add a few pics of Punkin snoozing'.

Anyhoo, today I have some errands to run while the girls are in school, as well as to put the finishing touches on two articles I'm finishing, including tomorrow's Foodie Friday Article, CoreLife Eatery - Long Island's Newest Franchise Brings The Power of Clean and Healthy Eating
After school, I'll be dashing over to Gianna's new high school to register her for the Fall term, which I'm still trying to get my arms around. Cannot believe she will be in high school in September!
The best part of my day, today will be getting together this evening with my friend Andrea for an early dinner. We have not gone out since before Christmas and I'm super psyched for girl talk and lots of laughing!
That's my day folks! Gonna get on my way. Backatcha tomorrow!
