Happy Tuesday!!Hi there! YAY! Today is my favorite day of the week - Travelin' Tuesday! I love it because it's when Tanya and I get to tell you details about our upcoming trips. As you can see from our Calendar, Tanya and I have many travel adventures planned for this year - separately and together. I think I speak for my dear cuz when I say that planning the "Cousins" trips are the most fun because everything we do, we do together! Tanya and I have spent hours sitting together in front of our respective computers - researching travel routes, sights along the way and eateries, all while either texting or talking on the phone. Isn't technology a wonderful thing!! Yellowstone Road Trip - April 2015 (Click Here for Details) April is the next time we will be hooking up for a road trip - this time it's . At present, I'm all set with my airfare - in and out through Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks Now, there is a slight glitch at this point. Kelsey, is very adamant about not wanting to come with me and Gianna. The poor kid really gets homesick. She's not a big fan of hotels or vacation rentals. While she loves being with me, her sister and all her cousins, she really is not at ease on these more rustic trips. So, I have an air ticket for her and we can be flexible till the last minute, giving her the option of coming or staying. Other than that - Gianna is psyched! We shall see what happens. The first two nights of our trip, we will be in Jackson Hole in order to stay close to Grand Teton National Park. Our respective gangs will be staying in different hotels for that leg of the trip. However, as we caravan it to West Yellowstone, we will be sharing a beautiful condo together for the balance of the trip! We had so much fun sharing vacation rentals on our last road trip to New Mexico so I'm sure this will be just as much of a blast!! Now that Tanya is back home from her Ski Utah trip, we will be going through the full seven days and filling in the details for each day of the trip. Check back next Travelin' Tuesday for those details!!! Florida Road Trip - February (Click Here for Details) This week I HAVE TO order my tickets for Universal Studios as well as get my fast passes for certain rides at Disney. That's pretty much the last thing I need to do for this trip. I can't believe it's less than a month away!!! The kids are really excited! MLK Day with The Kids Yesterday the kids had off from school Day my nephews came over my house to hang with the girls. I decided to take them all for Frozen Yogurt, for which they were very excited! I promised them that the five of us would go to the movies on Saturday or Sunday barring any sports schedules. Keeping my fingers crossed we can do it!! I love my little excursions with the four kids! And as usual, we did our mandatory "Selfie with Aunt Lee!" This is a tradition the five of us have whenever I take my four favorite kids out for a fun day. These guys were already talking about hitting Long Island amusement park, Adventureland, for our annual last day of school visit! This year, there will be a new roller coaster with the retirement of "The Hurricane" - and the kids (and Aunt Lee) cannot wait! Wishing you a happy day!!! -E | No driving for me today!Hey Everyone! I'm BAAAAACK! Well, after 14 days and 2,275 miles, we made it back home to the open arms of our family members and to my little Chaplin asking for the goodies that I promised to bring back for her! We then had about an hour before having to pack up back into the truck and leave to choir rehearsal and my board meeting. I've gotta admit that I was rather emotionally exhausted from this past week. So many things pulling at my heart strings that I really appreciated the distraction of the board meeting! But once it was over, it was as though the flood gates had reopened and I just barely held myself together the best that I could. These moments happen to the best of us. And one thing that I definitely recommend for any temporary moments of confusion or when you are just not feeling yourself, is a book that I read several years ago: THE FOUR AGREEMENTS, by Don Miguel Ruiz - this stuff is spot on. Read it & apply it. It will change your life for the better! Here is just a sampling: After coming back home and managing to get caught up in some storytelling and laughter, my mind was clear enough to throw out all of the junk and get back to being meeeee! Ahhhh FEELS SO GOOD! Now that it's Tuesday, here at Travelin' Cousins that only means one thing, it's Travelin' Tuesday, and we just love all things travel related! Today I need to work on confirming that all of our plans are in order for our next trip: Winter Carnival Quebec Trip - departing in 5 days!!! I think I speak for all four of us when I say that we are all super excited and looking very forward to all the fun that is to be had!!! And take a looksie at Elisa's side for what has been done so far for the Yellowstone Road Trip - April 2015 In addition: - I've decided not to fly in, and actually drive up instead, that way I could extend my portion of the trip to also include going to Portland, Oregon!! Look out for next Travelin' Tuesday, when Elisa and I will be sharing all of the new details about each of our upcoming and fun trips that we are so looking forward to! Hope you have a wonderful day! I wish you all the best! Until tomorrow, -T |
