Live Your DreamHappy Martin Luther King Jr Day! Today we celebrate a great man! His life is a testament to the things one person is capable of doing when they are committed to their dream! That's something I try very hard to impress upon my girls. That whatever they do, they should do with all their heart and soul, and give it their all. I'm filled with so much pride when I look at Gianna and her commitment to Baking. Although I had her in the kitchen with me from the time she was a toddler, her love for baking was something that she embraced all on her own. I am amazed with just how capable she is in the kitchen and the ways in which she has surpassed me with her abilities, intuitive instincts and creativity when as it pertains to baking. With my permission, she started her own YouTube Channel and regularly posts videos of herself baking. The particular video Italian Lemon Drop Cookies with Lemon Icing, I actually filmed her! Please click the link to see my sweetie's video!! I was blown away with how calm and relaxed she is while talking to the camera - having memorized the recipe and the methodical way in which she prepares these tasty delights. I hope you enjoy watching it!! Yesterday, she actually CREATED her own recipe for Peanut Butter Cupcakes with Chocolate Frosting. They were DEEELISH!! Last night I went out to dinner with my sissy and two other friends to the Grand Luxe Cafe. Just as I had anticipated, we had ALOT of laughs!! After dinner, we ordered a great dessert with four forks! Chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream drizzled with caramel and chocolate sauce. It was actually quite decadent! The ladies dug in way too fast for me to grab a picture! But, take my word for it, it was all you can imagine and more!! And on that note, my peeps, I'm going to wish you an amazing day!! -E | Get on out there and LIVEIt's another Monday, but it's not any ordinary Monday, it's Martin Luther King Jr Day, and a day of remembrance. Hopefully you are enjoying a lovely 3 day weekend and you only have a 4 day work-week ahead of you starting tomorrow. Did you go anywhere or do anything fun this weekend? Share it with us in the comments! Personally when I plan my trips, I actually try to avoid traveling around holidays. I find that there is too much traffic, too many crowds, and that the prices are actually higher than at other times during the year! But since I don't live my life according to any typical schedule, and instead with the freedom to do what I want, when I want, choosing to live my life following my hopes and dreams. I sometimes accidentally plan over a holiday period. And at that point I take it in my stride. Life is too short to not enjoy it, and to live life to it's fullest! Today happens to be the last day of our Ski Utah & Tahoe Road Trip, and we are doing the 6+ hour drive back to Anaheim Hills. It's been great trip and one that I'll never forget (not to say that I forget any of them); it's definitely had it's ups and downs, but... Ultimately it's not each and everything that we go through that makes us who we are, it's how well we handle everything that we go though that shows us who we really are! And what we might still need to work on.. I finally got to ski at Brian Head Ski Resort, yesterday! I had heard good things about it, and I've been rather curious about checking it out for myself. Well...Itch meet Scratch! My verdict is that it is too small (for me) and therefore kinda BORING - and as we all know... I don't do boring all that well! Of course we still managed to have a great time and I got in a great workout! My knee was feeling super and Diamonds are definitely still a girls best friend! That's all for now folks, time for me to hit the road! Be happy, be well, and be yourself! -T |
