Emblem Health Sucks
Hi there!
Well, I wish I could say I was in a good mood (which, by the way, I was prior to my call to Emblem Health Insurance Company!!). I've been chasing this stupid, incompetent company since July for a refund of $800 for overpayment when they cancelled coverage for my Kelsey (another LOOOONNNG story). In any case, I've been strung along that the refund is being processed for all this time; having to call back each month, mind you to see when it's going to be processes. Latest I was told on December 4th was that I would receive a refund for my paying my full premium for the period that Kelsey was not covered. Well, today, they are telling me, I'm not eligible! Say What????? You can imagine how angry I was and let them know it. Of course, it's not the employees (who, by the way are very lovely to deal with) - it's the company and its management for either playing games and lying or for not informing their employees of the correct information. This is not over - Fortunately, I was connected to a very nice supervisor who is putting in a grievance (which is apparently the highest level in the company) and we'll see what happens. Ugh!!! Waste of my freakin' time. I spent most of the 45 minutes of the phone call, which was on hold, tweeting about how horrible Emblem Health is!! And I'll continue to do so until this matter is resolved. I hope Karen Ignagni, Emblem's CEO is enjoying her $20million salary while I'm fighting it out for $600! Rant over! So, let me tell you what's going on this weekend. Saturday, me and the girls will be going to Astoria (Queens) to have brunch with Aunt Ro. We haven't seen her since prior to Christmas, so we're long overdue for a get together. Kelsey and I will be selecting a restaurant for us to eat at when she gets home from school. For now, I'm sorry, I have to pop off to get a few things done before i start my afternoon running around with errands. I'll be back tomorrow - promise - in a better mood!! In the home stretch
Hey guys! It's Travelin' Tanya here and I'm in the home-stretch.
Less than 24hrs before we head on our way to LAX and the list that I've been working on is still kinda scary... I wasn't able to check off quite as many things as I had hoped for yesterday and still had a really LONG day. So on that note although it is still dark, everyone is still sleeping and the sun still hasn't come up. I really can't chat for long and need to get this day started. I'll be at the airport early tomorrow and have time to give you proper scoop! LOL Anyhow and anyhoo, I wish you a fine day. Until we meet again. -Travelin' Tanya |
