Shoppin' for Skiin'Hello there! Dontcha just love waking up on Saturdays and realizing you get to take a break from your week long routine!! Today, I'm having a day just for me. Initially, we were all going to drive out east so the girls could go to horseback riding and I was going to hang with my friend Lisa while our daughters were riding. Well, due to the extreme cold weather, we both opted not to have the girls at the barn all day. However, since we haven't hung out together since September, we decided to keep our plans and meet anyway. So what that means for me is that I'll be taking a nice leisurely drive to Remsenburg ... by myself ... hang out with Lisa, catch up, laugh and talk for the afternoon! I just love having a day to myself with a good friend! One thing that I'm hopeful that Lisa and I will talk about is going to see a few shows with our daughters. We've been talking about doing a Broadway show for a while, so my goal is to finalize a date and decide on exactly which one to see! Well, I know that Tanya is not the only one who is skiing this season -- lots of folks are hitting the slopes over the next few months. Since today is Shoppin' Saturday, I thought I'd share with you what Men's Journal has listed as the Best New Ski and Snowboard Accessories for 2015! From sunglasses to boot cases and more, Click Here to read more. I'm off to have my "Me Day" and here's wishing you the best Saturday possible!! -E | On the Mend!Greetings from Salt Lake City, Utah! I woke up feeling pretty fabulous! My knee is definitely on the mend, and after a nice hot shower even some of my other "newly found" achy sore spots are feeling...well "less sore"! Arriving here yesterday after a 8.5hr drive from Lake Tahoe. We drove across the entire state of Nevada on the interstate 80, which was not the most scenic or exciting drive that I've ever done but it had some austere beauty to it. We caught up with my friend Manny and had a yummy dinner together at the vegetarian restaurant 'Vertical Diner'. And then before we knew it, it was already almost time for Dave's flight to land, so instead of going straight to the hotel, off we headed to the airport to pick up and surprise Dave! Injury update: I'm on the mend! Woo to the Hoo! Although, I definitely found additional sore achy spots from being crashed into (Thursday's accident on the slopes). My knee is still sprained - but I can live with that (especially considering the past accidents that I've had, as well as the extent of the possible accident that I actually avoided.) This morning, before heading up to Park City we are first going to enjoy a very yummy breakfast treat at City Cakes Bakery (don't be too surprised if we also get a box of goodies to go!) Next up is Canyons Ski Resort in Park City! Yup, I'm going for it! Don't worry...I'll take it easy & I'll stay clear from beginners! But, it's like I've always said - I'd rather go down an extreme slope full of obstacles then ski amongst beginners...because they are like reckless moving obstacles to beware of. To be very aware of!!! Be sure check out the cool link that Elisa has posted from Men's Journal for the Best New Ski and Snowboard Accessories for 2015 & the picture of those awesome Zeal Goggles!
