Tanya's Daily Scoop Covering the West Coast & the World CURRENTLY TRAVELING IN: BRECKENRIDGE
More to come
GREETINGS from Breckenridge, Colorado!
We drove up from Denver after a spectacular "spectaculous" breakfast at Watercourse Foods - hands down the BEST in Denver!!!
Went to the REI in Dillon to check out skis - since we all know the tragic event that took place to my poor week old skis.
Anyhow there is of course a lot more to the story including me falling under the weather. But now I've got to hit the slopes! So I'll be back during the time we are watching the Super Bowl.
At which time I will add pics and fill you in on all of the scoop.
For now take a looksie at all the fun filled Super Bowl facts that Elisa has posted in her column.
Cheerio folks - until later, -T

Super Bowl 52 - Eagles VS Patriots in Minnesota
Lovely Sunday morning and Gianna is off to church to sell baked goods after every mass today. Unfortunately, Mommy had to drive her to church at 7:30am.
The good news is that at last night's mass, the first one to have the bake sale, generated $500 in sales. Let's hope the sales far exceed that today!!
Monies earned from the bake sale will go towards 8th Grade festivities and outings at the end of the year.
It's Super Bowl Sunday!!! This will be the 52nd Super Bowl.
The game is scheduled to begin tonight at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota at 6pm EST, between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots.
Anyone that knows me, is well aware that I'm not a football chick. I mean, I think football players are cute and I get that the football has to get over the goal post to score, but that's where my knowledge of the sport ends.
So, it would make sense that a girl who loves travel as much I do would only have one question regarding the Super Bowl ----
If the Eagles are from Philadelphia and the Patriots are from New England, why is the Super Bowl in Minneapolis?

I mean in the case of baseball, which is the only sport I really know anything about, the World Series is played at the home stadiums of each team. I just assumed that it was the same with the Super Bowl.
Well, I took this curiosity to my friend Don and this is what he told me:
* The Super Bowl is always played in a neutral location.
* The location is chosen in advance, usually three to five years before the game.
* Cities place bids to host a Super Bowl and are evaluated in terms of stadium renovation and their ability to host.
* There must be a minimum of 35,000 parking spaces within one mile of the stadium.
Additionally, here are some other facts about Super Bowl LII that I found with a bit of internet research:
* Super Bowl LII will be the second Super Bowl in Minneapolis.
* U.S. Bank Stadium previously hosted Super Bowl XXVI in 1992.
* It will be the sixth Super Bowl in a cold weather city.
Minneapolis will continue to be the northernmost city to host a Super Bowl.
Pink will perform the National Anthem and Leslie Odom Jr. will sing "America the Beautiful"
Justin Timberlake will be headlining the Super Bowl LII halftime show
Timberlake performed in two previous Super Bowls: Super Bowl XXXV in 2001 as a member of NSYNC, and Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004 with Janet Jackson
For anyone looking to make travel plans for upcoming Super Bowls, take a look see at where the they will be held for the next three years, according to a report from NBC Sports, back in May, 2016! (Who knew!)
The Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a multi-purpose retractable roof stadium located in Atlanta, Georgia. The home of the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL) and Atlanta United FC of Major League Soccer. (photo credit: cnn.com)
Super Bowl LIII in 2019: Atlanta The game will be played on Sunday, February 3, 2019, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This will be the third Super Bowl in Atlanta, having previously hosted Super Bowl XXVIII in 1994 and Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000.
Super Bowl LIV in 2020 : Miami Sun Life Stadium has undergone a $400 million renovation which includes an open-air canopy to provide shade for 92 percent of seats, according to Sports Illustrated.
Super Bowl LV in 2021: Los Angeles A new 300-acre, campus-style stadium housing the Rams and potentially a second team is underway. The $2.6 billion project will be the most expensive sports arena in the world, reports CNN, and should be ready before the 2019 NFL season.
So that's as far as my investigative work goes regarding football. Hope you enjoyed it!!
The rest of my day will be spent attending mass and hanging out with Kelsey.
