A European travel blog thought it would be a good idea to visit the Bronx to get the sights and sounds of what it’s like to live here. Euronews visited the Bronx for their ‘Notes From the USA’ series featuring French singer Laetitia Sheriff, who got a tour of the Bronx from hip hop legend Grandmaster Caz, checking out the birthplace of hip hop, 1520 Sedgwick Avenue. She also sampled delicious food on Arthur Avenue, and visited the Edgar Allan Poe Cottage. Read article. I thought this video was super!!! Check it out for yourself!! Off to do some more errands - one of which is to get a fresh mani for tonight! - Travelin' Elisa xoxo | Sightseeing, Sledding and Snowball fightsGREETINGS from Lake Tahoe! We are making the most of our "ski" trip that we've only been able to ski once so far on due to HIGH AVALANCHE WARNINGS! We are pretty much right smack in the center of the red and thus have been staying off of the slopes for a few days. The warning is scheduled to expire this evening. What we have been doing is having other snow fun and yesterday had decided to go to a sledding hill that we've been going to for many years. On the drive there we also must go through Cave Rock. Once we arrived, we had bundled up, grabbed our sledding discs and started up the hill. To view the videos posted below CLICK HERE Between much sledding fun was a bit of snowball tossing that would later on result in a snowball fight. Plenty more sledding and laughing as we came down the snowy hill. After a while we had taken a short break that turned into a fun and rowdy snowball fight. And then it began... And once the kids were wet and getting cold, it was time to go. But before heading back to our hotel I had wanted to stop for some sightseeing and picture taking. The first opportunity was at the Cave Rock boat ramp. We were getting hungry and cold, so it was time to head on back to our place and grub. The remainder of the night was playing more board games and watching another movie - or at least trying to. We put on CREED 2 and got just past the half way mark only to have the DVD freeze and us not be able to watch it any further. Since we are still dealing with the AVALANCHE WARNING (although now just for the back country) I wanted us to get out there and ski. But the universe had different plans and the resorts are closed today due to power outages and/or road conditions/closures. Oh well. What is a girl and her kids who absolutely love skiing to do. Go ice skating and cross our fingers that we can hit the slopes once again tomorrow! Make the best out of all situations, -Travelin' Tanya |
