Tanya's Daily Scoop Covering the West Coast & the World NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 7 DAYS
Excited about travel
OMG guys!!! Just like the image says - I'M SO EXCITED!
On one hand I can't believe that February is pretty much over - like where did it go?!
I know that I'm busy and all, but to me it feels like it was just New Years Day??? (And I don't mean Chinese New Year)
Let's take a quick look back - Where did Jan/Feb go... Or better question might be where did I go in Jan/Feb...

*Well now in all of my unpacking mess I've seemed to temporarily misplace one of my cameras. UGH So the following pictures will be uploaded soon!
And Death Valley!!!
Which brings us to today and my incredible excitement in knowing that the kids and I leave for Europe in exactly one week!!!
I can't wait to show the kids Rome - which is one of my all time favorite cities in the world!

More favorites of both mine and Elisa's can be found here on this page ofFAVORITES
And then there is Ireland, which is another love of mine. I will be taking the kiddos on a tour of the country as well as to the Dublin St. Patrick's Day Parade - which to this day remains a favorite memory of mine!!

Well when it hit Cosette (just yesterday) that we leave in a week - she was in shock! Such a silly girl. She thought she had at least 2 weeks before we leave and started to get in a bit of a panic!
Boy oh boy - do we handle excitement quite differently.
Anyhow let me tell you about something else that I am excited about today... As of late last night Dave had asked me if we were free on his 2019 birthday. LOL
Nope, no plans as of yet.
Well it appears that he would like us to go visit Bermuda for his birthday. And so another trip gets put on my calendar!
I'll be working on my Italy/Ireland trip page as well as my Death Valley Full Report article today, so hopefully I can go ahead and add the links by tomorrow at the latest.
See ya back in on the flip side, -Travelin' Tanya
Elisa's Daily Scoop Covering Long Island & NYC Boroughs CURRENTLY ON LONG ISLAND
150th Belmont Stakes coming on June 7-9, 2018
Hi folks! First I have to apologize for not attaching the link yesterday to my article 24 African American Namesake Parks in NYC's Outer Boroughs.
Hattie Carthan Garden and Playground is named for Hattie Carthan (1900–1984), a Bedford-Stuyvesant resident. Mrs. Carthan began replanting trees there, and in the process, helped found the Bedford-Stuyvesant Neighborhood Tree Corps and the Green Guerillas. This was one of the most enjoyable stories I have researched because I learned so much about (African) Americans that I knew nothing about! I know we honor people of African decent this month, but I have a hard time separating them, as I just take pride in all of us, regardless of color or background, being Americans.
Today I woke up and was so inspired by how bright the sun was shining!! I felt like Spring was already here. Well, almost --- until I stepped outside and it was only 33 degrees. Anyway, doesn't matter, Spring is on it's way!!!
A thought guys about upcoming events here on Long Island. One in particular - The Belmont Stakes. We all know how fast time goes and before we know it, June will be here.
This year, The Belmont Stakes celebrates 150 Years on June 7-9, 2018.
There are a number of ticket options offered through the Belmont Experiences if you are thinking about attending, including a variety of elite packages throughout the racetrack complete with gourmet food and premium open bar options, and more!
Still available are Gold and Silver Clubhouse Seating: Gold Clubhouse features: Third Floor Seating, Access to Diamond Room Hospitality Lounge and Exclusive Insider Extras
My day consists of running around - Staples for tri-fold boards for the kids' upcoming science fair, taking Kelsey for a haircut and picking up Gianna later from the after school program that she helps out with each day.
