Elisa's Daily ScoopThrowin' it Back with an Old FriendHey there! Can't believe how fast this week is going by - it's really very unfair :-( because none of us want to return to New York. Me and the girls are having such a relaxing time down here in the Sunshine state this week with my mom and dad. The weather couldn't be better - sunny and 80 degrees. The evenings have a delicious breeze and I can hear the palm trees blowing outside my balcony window!! What could be better?! Today I'm going to meet up with a dear friend of mine, Carlos, for lunch at the Boca Town Center. Carlos and I have worked together on and off through the past decade. He is a multi-talented person who has enjoyed a successful career as a commercial fashion illustrator and most recently, a professional trainer for the fashion cosmetic brand, Motives. His latest venture is manufacturing a line of handbags and silk scarves featuring his artwork. We haven't seen each other in a few years, so I was thrilled that Carlos was free to have lunch today!! Well, as fate would have it, I caught a nasty head cold and have felt a bit under the weather the past two days. I'm not one for cold medication, but I two Benedryl last night and was pretty well out for the count. Not sure yet if I feel better or worse. Today is Throwback Thursday - looking forward to what Tanya has in store for us!! I never cease to enjoy her stories!! I'll be bringing you a Foodie Friday restaurant story tomorrow. Actually, my feature will be about one of my latest dining experiences here in the Sunshine State last week!! So, stay tuned! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the temps go up in New York, for my return on Saturday. Please keep the votes coming! Thanks!! ----->>>>>----->>>>>----->>>>> See ya tomorrow! -Elisa xoxo | Tanya's Daily ScoopChange of plans ahead...Hey Everyone! Yup, it's already Thursday! The weekend is that much closer!!! And hopefully you have something to look forward to! But if you've read Elisa's side (and I hope that you do regularly read both sides), I can totally understand where she is coming from... Being on vacation, having such a wonderful time, and not wanting to go back home! Well, at least she did get this extra week - if you recall she was suppose to already be back home; But she extended her vacation and in turn has been so happy that they did! Dontcha love having the flexibility/freedom to do that?! I've done it before, and I just love it! And before you know it Elisa will be heading on her next vacation to none other than Sin City!! I'm totally bummed that the dates didn't work out and that I won't be able to join her on that GIRLS WEEKEND in LAS VEGAS!!! One super cool day trip that you can take while visiting Las Vegas is The Grand Canyon... You can tour by plane, helicopter, jeep or drive on your own! (4hrs by car.) Did you know that today is the 96th Birthday of the Grand Canyon National Park? *An Act to Establish the Grand Canyon National Park in the State of Arizona was signed into law in 1919. I've visited the Grand Canyon at least a handful of times, it is such a Majestic place that if you haven't been there in person I highly encourage you going to check out for yourself! Photographs - no matter how amazing just cannot do this canyon any justice! Being that I was out and about all day long yesterday from 7:15am-9:30p running around and quite busy. Today I'll hopefully be staying home long enough to take care of the ton of things I have to prep for, which include but are not limited to: upcoming trips, this upcoming weekend, Tahoe Road Trip, Easter, and much more! Cosette has a horse back riding lesson this afternoon, and Dominic has his Thursday night classes which combined will cover over 5 of the day...so I best get crackin'! As you know, today is TBT (Throwback Thursday), and I had a story that was all prepped and ready to post... However with all of this talk about the Grand Canyon, I think I'm going to honor the 96th Birthday by taking you back with me to one of my visits to this amazing National Park! Click HERE for this weeks TBT story! That'll do it for today folks! Love ya all, -T |
