Settling Back in and Recap of Disney Springs
GREETINGS FROM LONG ISLAND!!!
I'm back home. We arrived mid-afternoon yesterday from Orlando, via a connection in Atlanta.
My girls were mighty tired when we arrived home, but there is no rest for the weary. Immediately upon arrival back to Garden City, we headed over toJo-Mar to pick up our beloved Punkin. Wow!! She was berserk to see us, as were we.
"Aunt Cathy" took good care of our baby and even gave her a special Birthday Bone to celebrate with her. Our little fur baby turned 3 on Friday (Feb 22)! Since we were not there to fuss, we will have a mini party for her today!! It was then quite necessary to do some food shopping, so off we headed to Trader Joe's for groceries and T&F Pork Store to get some fresh Italian bread and fried eggplant - yum!! After running around a bit, we settled into a nice home-made salad with everything including sliced up eggplant and decided to watch an old favorite movie of our's - The Proposal, with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. Light entertainment. We all were wiped out from a busy day (including Punkin) and fell asleep by 9pm! Pretty exciting Saturday night wouldn't ou say!!
Moving right along - here is the scoop for our final day in Disney.
As I have mentioned many times, Kelsey did all the planning for this trip and boy, did she do a phenomenal job!!! No stone left unturned and her attention to detail was incredible. For our last and final day of this trip, she planned for us to chill in Disney Springs - the same place we spent our first day in Disney World earlier in the week.
We did a bit more shopping - mostly for candy souvenirs for the girls' friends and, as usual, ate!!! It was unanimous that we go back to Blaze Pizza. They really know how to make a good pizza, with plenty of vegan options!!
Once again, I ordered the Veg-Out (without gorgonzola) because it was just so good the first time!! I had them add some balsamic glaze and it was amazing. There was a mix up with my order and I cannot tell you how wonderful the manager, Angela and staff, worked to make it right!! Thanks for making our experience so memorable!
In and out of the shops, just taking it easy, me and my girls were reflecting on how quickly the week flew by.
Kelsey was already planning our next trip!!! We hit Erin McKenna's again for dessert! And by the time we knew it, it was time to...eat again! This time we did take out from Wolfgang Puck Express and brought it back to the room.
We opted to take the ferry back to the Saratoga Springs and it was a most relaxing ride with some great views of the evening sky.
Here are some photos from the day:
Till our next trip Disney.

If you are joining us for the first time - it's a long story why the end of February is the beginning of my season! LOL Anyhow, I'll be back to blog a bit later and catch you up with all of the fun and pictures from our visit to Camp Richardson. For now you're stuck with the selfie version (iPhone) pics from yesterday.
