Heading back to Long IslandHey guys! This is a quickie just to say hello! I'm leaving the hotel at 4:45 to get to Orlando International by 6:25 for an 8:30 flight. After a connection in Atlanta, I should be back in New York by 1:30pm or so. I'll try to check in upon arrival home, if possible. Otherwise, I'll tell you all about our last day yesterday in Disney Springs on Sunday! Cheers, -Travelin' Elisa xoxo | RECAP of a Snowy Road TripGreetings everyone! We are coming at you from a very snowy Lake Tahoe!! We arrived here last night after taking our time driving which was a full day on the road. After the kiddos had their fresh squeezed OJ and before the long road trip Cosette and Dominic decided to grab a healthy breakfast out of the freezer... These dorks walked out of the house eating Haagen Daz Non-Dairy Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge "Ice Cream" Bars!!! Then after a rather tough load up, where every last inch of space in the vehicle was taken, we hit the road. All of the snow scapes started immediately. Snow capped mountains in every direction. Even the hills had a dusting. It was pretty awesome and we were lovin' it. Pics don't do any justice. The group got peckish once again and this time I whipped out another "healthy" snack - TGIVegan Chocolate Croissants - hey we are in vacation mode. It's a charming desert roadside bakery that produces 10 times more bread daily than it has residents in its town. Read more from Atlas Obscura and their Wondrous Foods to Explore and Enjoy After shopping and having a picnic style lunch we were on the snowy road once again. The sun eventually began to set and we still had a couple of more hours on the road until our arrival. Temps got down to about 5 degrees Fahrenheit but it really didn't feel all that cold. I honestly don't get why I could get a chill in SoCal when it's down in the high 30's low 40's but I'm not cold when it's 5 degrees of coldness?! Very weird I know. Anyhow, we aren't skiing today since Saturdays get pretty darn crowded on the slopes. We are heading to Camp Richardson and to stroll around the village. Who knows maybe we'll even go sledding a bit. But we'll see. Tootles, -Travelin' Tanya |
