BRAND BALLOT'S TOP 100 MOM BLOGS FOR 2018!!
Re-cap of Hollywood StudiosA big howdy!!! I can hardly believe that today is our 6th day in Disney World. Boy, have we been enjoying super long days!! We are headed to Animal Kingdom today - our fourth and final park on this visit to the most magical place on earth! Last night, when I returned to our hotel room in Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort, I managed to update my Scoop from yesterday. If you'd like to hear more about our day in Epcot on Tuesday, CLICK HERE to read the updated blog and see more Epcot photos!! Yesterday, we enjoyed a super fun and actually, most relaxing day at Hollywood Studios. Our day started early, but not as super early as the previous days. We were at the park by 9:30 (instead of 8am like Monday and Tuesday) and it felt like we had totally slept in. lol The vibe at Hollywood Studios is very nice. Not quite as crowded as Magic Kingdom and even Epcot, the music throughout this park sets the scene for a step back in time to the old days of Hollywood. I gave you guys a bit of a sneak peak with some photos that I asked Tanya to post on yesterdays blog of Toy Story Land and the Rockin' Rollercoaster. So, now let me tell you more of the details. Our intention was to go on Slinky Dog Dash rollercoaster first. This ride is new since the last time we visited and it's located in Toy Story Land. Unfortunately, the wait time was already 75 minutes when we arrived, so we opted to grab a quick bite (since we rushed out without breakfast.) We walked around Toy Story Land, but then decided to bop around the park - take everything in - which kept us busy for about an hour until it was time to see the Beauty and the Beast live show. Absolutely adorable!! Kelsey made us a reservation at the Sci Fi Dine-In Theatre. This place is way cool. First of all, they have recreated an entire "outdoor" setting like the old drive-in theaters. Everything takes place in 1957 and the "tables" are all within the confines of old convertible cars. It was quite dark inside, but, definitely a place you should try if in Hollywood Studios. Also, they had a number of Vegan offerings!! First, they had two entree choices that were completely vegan - a tofu dish and a Falafel Burger. Then for dessert, they had a vegan chocolate milkshake made with soy milk and tofutti! Gianna and I both had the Falafel burger and my girl was in her glory with the vegan milkshake! Good choice Kelsey!!! We chilled a bit, people watching, taking some pictures and then popped into the Frozen Sing-Along Spectacular - a live show that the audience sang along with select songs from the movie. Very fun and cute! Back to Toy Story Land for a few more rides!! First, the girls went on Alien Swirling Saucer and I took some pictures of them having fun! Then we headed back to Slinky Dog Dash. This time, we waited and hour on the line. However, when we got further along the line, my belly was not 100% (ate too much at lunch!!) and decided to forego the ride and took pictures of the girls on it instead!! Of course, I took a bunch of pics on the line since the displays were so stinkin' cute!! What a super fun day!! See ya back here tomorrow!! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo | Tanya is on her way!! - E |
