BRAND BALLOT'S TOP 100 MOM BLOGS FOR 2018!!
Disney Springs - Day 2Greetings from Disney World!!! I'm writing to you from the Saratoga Springs resort, which, quite frankly, is not one of our faves here in Disney World, but it was the only resort at which we were able to get a reservation. We had hoped to stay at our favorite - The Boardwalk, and went on the wait-list, but we never received a booking. Here is what I'm not crazy about concerning the Saratoga Springs:
Today, we are heading to Disney Springs, formerly known as "Downtown Disney." We decided that rather than head to the theme parks right way, we would spend our first full day walking around, leisurely shopping and, of course, eating!! Here are some pictures and videos from our day yesterday - traveling to Orlando. - Travelin' Elisa xoxo | A Night of Tango CalienteHello and a very happy Sunday to you! While today will be another day of running around, prepping and getting ready for our upcoming trip to snowy Tahoe; but we will also be heading to the ice skating rink, trying out Chimney Cakes (for a sweet treat, which Cosette has been dying to try), then having a lovely dinner at home with the fam bam and then heading to the movies to meet up with Jodie and go see VICE - the untold true story that changed the course of history. That's all happening today which I will report on tomorrow. And as per usual the Daily Scoop is to fill you in on all the excitement, antics and adventures of yesterday! Our day started out with a ride out to Lakewood for a morning choir performance. The kids AKA ambassadors all did great and they sounded even better than ever. Not sure if you remember when the choir truck and all of it's equipment was stolen (back in March 2018), which was a terrible thing. Well, after all of this time we've finally got all of the stolen sound equipment replaced and let me tell you these kids sound freakin' even more amazing than ever before! My girl Cosette was a busy little bee yesterday (taking after her mama) because immediately after her performance, she changed her clothes and we took her directly to work. So cute! Meanwhile, it was time for the rest of us to grab a bite. It took a while of trying to decide where we should go and after being called finicky and I accidentally blurbed out FINCKLE (obviously a cross breed between finicky and fickle) and that was it...my perfect label. I AM FINICKLE! LOL Eventually I thought up a place for us to go and grub. Aunt Yese's in Garden Grove. But when we pulled up there was a line and a wait. I was not too thrilled with this but who would be?! We opted to wait rather then spend the same time driving elsewhere and taking even longer to eat. Once we were seated - 35 minutes later. It was worth the wait and everything was yummy! The owner had even brought over a sample of the French Toast for us to try - he must've read my mind because although I ordered a breakfast burrito, I was really in the mood for French Toast and just like that it appeared at our table and it was DELISH!!! After a very yummy meal, we headed home for a bit for some down time which of course for me means trip planning time and for the boys meant nap time! And before you know it, it was time to get ready for our night of Tango Caleinte!! We made our way out to the Long Beach Arena, met up with my friend Jodie and enjoyed a night of music from the Long Beach Symphony along with special musical guests and awesome Tango dancers from Argentina. WOW those moves!!! We had a nice night out, came home, caught up with the comings and goings of the fam bam and called it a night. Now on with today and the busy little bee that I am! Here's wishing you a great day. -Travelin' Tanya |
