Heading to Disney World
Hey there!
This weekend officially kicks off President's week, for which most kids have off from school - including mine. And, with a full week off - we are heading to Disney World this afternoon. We are all packed. A few errands this morning - Gianna will get a manicure and I will drop off Punkin to be boarded. Other than that - we are ready!!! It's going to be a fun trip of rides, fun and vegan food finding! Let me leave you with a cool article from Budget Travel:

Tanya goes to Shojin!
Good day everyone! Happy Saturday to you!
While Elisa and the girls are off to Florida for a fun filled time at Disney World. We have a bit of a fun and busy weekend here on the west coast. Today. Actually right now we are heading to a performance for Cosette and the International Peace Choir where it is truly like watching the cast of characters from It's Small World come to life in song and dance! Yes I am using a Disney reference and yes they also sing It's a Small World and in the languages from which each ambassador represents! Cosette sings it in Italian. Immediately after the performance we are taking my big girl to work. She was scheduled a short shift starting later this morning. While she is at work, we will be taking Dominic out to lunch, but haven't quite figured out where to go. Finally later this evening Dave and I will be heading out to Long Beach to meet up with my friend Jodie to go see the Long Beach Symphony POP series Tango Caliente for a night of fiery Tango classics!
As far as the SCOOP fro yesterday, it was a day filled with chores - many many put off chores were finally tackled!
But the highlight of the day was the evening and dinner plans with Dave. While February 14th (Valentine's Day) is a day of love for one and all. Dave and I happen to get 2 back to back days to reflect on our loving relationship. February 15th happens to be our 1/2 year Anniversary and last night was our 9.5y Anniversary. Meaning that in August we will celebrate 10 years together!! Dave chose the popular downtown vegan restaurant Shojin for our reservations, not only for it's food, but for all the great memories that we've share over the years at this establishment. Dear Dave had also surprised me with yet another gift that I opened table-side...
The dining room was full of couples (who we think we're all celebrating a late Valentine's Day romantic dinner - Friday night is easier for a date night) and the restaurant happened to be continuing to offer it's special Valentine's pre-fixe menu which we opted for...along with a couple of additional small plates to indulge in.
And now THE FOOD:
Great food, new memories and a wonderful evening!
Pulling up to the performance now!
I'll be back tomorrow to fill ya in on all the fun... Tootles, -Travelin' Tanya |
