Tanya's Daily Scoop
NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 2 DAYS
Our St. Nicholas Day traditions..
We have had a very hectic past few days. As of right now I left off with you as we were heading out to perform and march in the San Pedro Holiday parade - which was fabulous! More on the parade in another blog. After the parade is when things got insane...
There was a major issue/emergency at the stables that needed our attention ASAP.
Since then Cosette and I have been going to the stables at a minimum of twice a day. Let me remind you that the stables are not just down the street from where we live.
It's been insanely windy and yesterday I woke up to the news that Ventura was on fire (I'm sure you've seen this in the news). Fires are scary and I am hyper sensitive about them.
During our morning visit to the stables, it was yet again ridiculously windy and it appeared that there was a fire not too far from there. As we drove, Cosette thought she saw smoke and to me it looked like a giant cloud of dust. But the minute we opened the car doors it was obvious that we were smelling a nearby fire.
Luckily at this point Dream is doing fantastic, but that doesn't change the fact that we still need to go twice a day through tomorrow night. Which works out since we leave for NYC on Friday!
Later on the entire SoCal fam bam will join together for lovely dinner and dessert. Cosette will be working in the kitchen on dessert for hours, preparing a Crepe Cake!!
NOTE: That this is the EARLIEST we've even had a tree to decorate!
I managed to get a bunch of packing done yesterday. Still more needs to be done, but it's looking pretty good so far.
Oh yeah and when I woke up today I found out that there are now fires in Los Angeles. Many busy freeways have been closed and last I heard Bel Air was being evacuated!
Well, I've got to be on my way. Here's wishing you a Happy, Safe & Blessed St. Nicholas Day.
Until next time,
-T
