Vegan in the Air
Hello My Lovelies!
Mid-way through the week and it just keeps getting colder - and I'm loving it!! Yesterday, I read a wonderful article about Trader Joe's and 10 vegan foods within their stores. Well, I decided to post it today on my blog today and so I was sort of in a "vegan state of mind" for my blog. But, then, even more interestingly, my friend Elisa (yes, same name!) texted me this morning to inquire if I knew any good vegan dessert places in Manhattan, as she was meeting a vegan friend in The Big Apple today. Wow - how coincidental is this! So, it appears that vegan is in the air today!
As I was saying I found a Great Great Article in VegNews!!
If any of you shop at Trader Joe's like I do, you might find that it is sometimes difficult to find vegan options. My daughter Gianna jokingly says that most grocery stores are "foodist" lol because they do not have enough vegan options. Let's hope these foods are only the beginning of many more to come... 10 SECRETLY VEGAN FOODS YOU CAN FIND AT TRADER JOE’S THIS FALL
Out of the 10, here are my faves for which I'll be searching during my next visit to Trader Joe's this week:
My gang just loves gnocchi and most are not made dairy-free, however, what a great option! Cauliflower gnocchi!!!
How tasty does this pizza crust look!!
And - what's more - if you are not near a Trader Joe's - this next product is available from Amazon!!! Moving right along - I suggested to Elisa that she visit Chloe in Rockefeller Centre with her friend today. I'm looking forward to her feedback considering she is not a vegan!
Enjoy this day guys!

The Rain in Southern California
Hi there folks!
It so happens to be one of those rare cloudy and about to rain days here in SoCal. I absolutely love the rain, but I have quite a bit of much running around to do where I'll be in and out for most of the morning and afternoon that I've decided to don rain boots (Cosette's rain boots in fact). My own boots (that I adored) turned out to have a breach and then had a fate which caused me to leave them behind in Ireland this past March - there was no need to pack and bring back a pair of soggy rain boots.
I have since replaced them...sort of. I replaced them with a pair of rain booties.
I only issue with me not wearing my own is that I have a feeling that the short style will just not be enough for the amount of time that I'll be outdoors and in the element (of getting wet).
Everybody everywhere is talking about it. And now look, even I am talking about it. But honestly if you could hear some of the conversations that I've been around. It as though there is a major storm, hurricane or tornado on its way.
This video pretty much sums it up:
I imagine that you must've got a good laugh out of watching that. I know that I did!
Well I'm about to head on out of here, but I have just a few more things to say and tell ya. 1. I am so not ready for Christmas. I love love love the Christmas season, but have so very much to do to even be close to being ready. I've been listening to Christmas carols and shopping in stores that are all decked out for Christmas. But for some reason, I still just don't feel Christmasy yet. 2. You'll never believe this, but I was chatting with a few friends yesterday and we were actually discussing going back to China! I'll let you know what becomes of this. 3. I want to give props to Elisa! My dearest cousin has really been making great strides in sharing all things vegan with you. I really love it! And I'm also so proud Gianna, who has embraced the vegan lifestyle with open arms. Kudos to my cousins. That's all for today. Don't just have a good one, have a great one! -Travelin Tanya |
