Of course that's not to say that I don't shop and/or eat on other days in the week. Because as you know...of course I do!! LOL
Anyhoo, HIYA and Happy Saturday to ya!
Any big plans for the weekend? Tell me all about them!
You tell me your's and I'll tell you ours...
We are going on a little bit of a food crawl today - and if you love food the way that we love food - then you'd be excited. Whereas, if you just don't get it, then you don't love food, and that's okay too, you can still enjoy reading all about our experiences (in tomorrow's Daily Scoop).
Well the day is actually going to start out by us taking the kids to dance rehearsal for tomorrows performance. Originally it was suppose to be held last night, but the instructor was under the weather and it was best to postpone it to this morning.
So instead last night we went out and did a bit of Christmas shopping, then had a sleep-over at Dave's and began our wrapping nights. Okaaay okay so I only really wrapped one thing :-/ but Cosette wrapped more and besides, we had a lot to do just in order to set up the place for all the wrapping nights to come...
In fact in the midst of all the eating that we'll be doing today, we'll also be getting some more Christmas shopping taken care of, and at one of my favorite stores - The Huntington Gardens Store- it's really quite lovely and has such an array of special gifts. I really commend their buyer - excellent taste!
Now speaking of taste, I'll get back on to telling you all about our little food crawl. The places that I chose are places that I've been curious about for several months now. The only reason that we haven't already eaten at these places is because they aren't 100% plant based. So in fact doing a food crawl is nothing less than perfect!
Our first of 4 stops will be at a place called How do you Roll in North Hollywood which happens to be a Shark Tank winner and where I'm looking forward to trying some delicious (so I've heard) vegan sushi rolls. Now on the other hand I've also read some pretty awful reviews about their non-vegan sushi. So we shall see what we think!
Next up is a little place called Nesmon Cafe & Boutique, a French style cozy little eatery where you can experience a touch of Paris. And it just so happens that they offer both vegan and non-vegan crepes (insert jaw drop right here). I love crepes and I do so hope that these are good, if not great!
Third up is a place called World Empanadas and guess what we'll be getting there? Hmm maybe empanadas... Do you realize that one of my Fav Food Highlights in 2016 were the Empandas that we had in Barcelona! Ohhhh I do so hope that these are everything that I imagine them to be!
And last, but certainly not least is a place that we are already quite fond of Donut Friend and we know that we'll be satisfing our sweet tooths here. In fact we'll probably over order...which we always do. But is it still over ordering if you always finish what you ordered?! An overwhelming visit to Donut Friend
Another busy day ahead of us tomorrow, but I'll wait unti then to tell you all about it. For now...I've gotta go EAT!
