Tanya's Daily Scoop NEXT GETAWAY DEPARTS IN: 2 DAYS
These are the Days of our Lives
Well HOWDY! lol
How's your week been? Can you believe that it's already Thursday?!
My week has been fairly mellow when compared to last weeks craziness!! But we still have had quite a full schedule and still have 2 more performances before we head out of town on Saturday. There are definitely some months that these kids have such a very full performance schedule and December is definitely one of those months. Which is one of the reasons why it's so difficult for us to fit in anything more than a getaway type trip in the month of December.
On that note, the kiddos had a lovely performance at a tree lighting ceremony for the city of Carson last night. This performance was the first of their 2015 Holiday Performances, and they did a great job!
As for today we might be heading to the stables, which I know Cosette is quite excited about (as I couldn't manage to fit in a visit over there last week), but this is pending on if the farrier is going today or tomorrow - we shall see.
And then later this evening we'll be taking Dominic to his classes. The professor asked us if we'd be able to take Dominic to an earlier advanced class that starts at 6pm from now on. With all the traffic that is out there these days 6pm is gonna be tough - but we'll do our best!
Traffic can't be all that bad when you have a beautiful sunset!
After reading Elisa's column, I noticed that her focus is on the year 2010. Look at how cute and tiny the girlies looked and it was ONLY 5 years ago!! So I figured that I'd look at some of our 2010 pics to see how much we have changed over here...
Yup the kids have definitely gotten bigger that's for sure! And back in 2010 I'm sure I was saying the same thing about a few years prior. They just keep growing! What's up with that???
So anyhow, I'm gonna sign off, I've got plenty to do, but as usual...I'll be back tomorrow for some more Daily Scoop!
Elisa's Daily Scoop NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 15 DAYS
Travein' back to December 2010
Can I tell you how UP and happy I am today!!
I think it's a combination of things - First, the weather is amazing here on Long Island! So sunny and crisp outside.
Secondly, everywhere I go, there is Christmas music! How can you possibly be in a bad mood with the joy of holiday tunes.
Lastly, I am so excited about going with the girls tomorrow night to see School of Rock on Broadway.
There's just so much to be grateful about and my wish today is for those who are bogged down with sadness and holding onto anger and resentment, to simply let it go. Life is too short. People aren't perfect; circumstances aren't perfect, but you live, you learn and you need to move on and take away the best in every experience.
Moving right along - today is Thursday and we are eeking towards the end of the week.
It has been a crazy week to say the least and I'm really looking forward to some fun this weekend!
As we move forward in December, and considering today is Throwback Thursday, I love reminiscing about my girls -- here they are back in 2010 - what HUGE differences 5 years makes!!!
The loves of my life in front of mom's "Rustic" Christmas tree (2010)
Gianna with her "date" (Grandpa George) to the Sugarplum Ball (2010)
Well, since we have to be in NYC tomorrow night, I'm planning on leaving early to make a little visit to Rockefeller Center and the beauty of Christmastime on Fifth Avenue!
Stay tuned this weekend for some great photos of New York City!!
Ok, so I thought it would be interesting, since I'm looking back 5 years, to see what was in the headlines in Travel news back in December 2010.
Here were the top travel events:
* Estonia First Ex-Soviet State to Adopt Euro
* Seoul-Incheon Airport Link Opens
* Snow and Ice Causes Traffic Chaos in Europe
* Ukraine Announces Chernobyl Power Plant Site Will Be Open for Tours in 2011
* Egypt Reopens Sharm el-Sheikh Beaches After Shark Attack Closings
* Fast Trains From Helsinki to St. Petersburg
* Tohoku Shinkansen extension opens in Japan
* Edinburgh and Gatwick Airport Closed Due to Freezing Conditions
Just a little walk down Travel memory lane!
Ok - so I'm off folks to get many things done before the girlies get out of school.
We will be heading to the mall later for an evening of shopping and eating!!
