Travelin' Tuesday December Destination Suggestions As for today, I thought I would give you some food for thought about "traveling in December" since it is Travelin' Tuesday. Sometimes there is no better to plan a trip for a particular time of year, then while you are experiencing that season. Are you considering a trip next December? If so, here are some great places to consider! According to The Best Time to Visit.com, December is an ideal time of year for the following destinations: * America & Surrounding Areas Warm climate destinations such as the Carribbean and Mexico are very popular during December, providing a relaxing break from Winter's cold. If Cold weather is more your thing, consider New York and all it has to offer in the way of shopping, holiday festivities and Times Square on New Year's! * Europe For all of your skiers, how about the Pyrenees in France and Spain and the Austrian, Swiss or Italian Alps. December is also when many of the European cities, such as Brussels, Munich & Strasbourg have their holiday markets. * Asia Are you interested in something more exotic? How about one of these Asian destinations: - Bangladesh and its long beaches, historic sites. - Maldives experiences their dry season in December, making it pleasant. - Thailand also has less rain with warming temperatures. - Laos has less rain this time of year, and the temperatures are not terribly high yet. * Africa For some real adventure, how about the continent of Africa! - Senegal has pleasant temperatures - Cameroons have their dry season this time of year. - The Ivory Coast is ideal to visit in December. - The Seychelles for a beach vacation, however, it could be a bit pricey during the holiday time.. Still have Kelsey home sick - I think she'll be on her way back tomorrow. Just didn't want to inflict her cough on the other kids. Unfortunately, having to stay home with her caused me to miss helping out at the Christmas boutique at the kids' school today. Tomorrow, I'll be heading into the city to see another show. This time it's Love Letters starring Alan Alda and Candice Bergen. Will give you the full scoop on this one next Monday!! Hope your day is as wonderful as you are!! -E | I'm Travelin and it's a Tuesday! It's another Travelin' Tuesday, and another Tuesday for Tanya to be Travelin'! The kids and I are heading back to Sunny Southern California, and will be saying Good Bye to NY. This 3 week trip was our last trip back to the East Coast and/or anywhere else (for that matter) for 2014. That's a wrap folks! Not too shabby - I'll be posting the stats at the end of this month. Yesterday was a very relaxing, lazy, and hang out type of day; It was cyber monday, so of course I managed to do some cyber Christmas shopping in my PJ's :) The kids slept late, I still woke up early, but managed to stay in bed for a whole hour before climbing out of the coziness. Once I was traveling through cyberspace, I also managed to get some bookings taken care of: 1. Flight to Montreal for the Winter Carnival Trip & 2. All Hotels for the Winter Carnival Trip The sad news was that after talking with Elisa, I found out that her gang will not be joining us in Park City after all. Later in the evening our cousin came over for a visit, we hung out, had some fun playing games, sharing laughs, eating, and enjoying each other's company. And now, we are in our seats and almost ready for take off, so I'm gonna keep it short and sweet. Catch ya back here tomorrow with reports from good 'ol California! Ciao, -T |
