Well it's Humpday y'all. It's the last Wednesday of 2016 and I've been spending most of my day thus far working on things for 2017 and beyond!
I generally take the week between Christmas and New Years to recharge and definitely make good use of the down time - which with all of my running around and craziness I don't give myself any down time throughout the rest of the year.
Yesterday was much of the same, where I spent most of the day at home. I added some finishing touches to my Jaffa Cakes and Peppermint Patties. I finally stepped foot out of the house and to our local health food market. And I managed to do some online exchanges...I still have to mail back the items that were bought in the wrong sizes.
And of course I'm working on our itinerary for our upcoming European Ski Circuit. Here are 2 of the must sees on our itinerary so far:
Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix, France - For more than 50 years, the most famous and highest of the Aiguilles de Chamonix has been an essential world attraction. From the centre of Chamonix, a 20 minutes ride in the Aiguille du Midi cable car takes you to the gateway to the high Alps at a height of 3,842 m. This will be Dave and my second time up to this high point that brought me much fasination and a view that was nothing short of unimaginable!!
Schilthorn in the Bernese Oberland,Switzerland - After a short trip of just 30 minutes by aerial cableway you reach the summit of the Schilthorn at 2970 meters above sea level. Where we will marvel at the most spectacular panorama in Switzerland: Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau – the Swiss Skyline. Not only that, but 2017 happens to be the 50th Anniversary of this iconic location which was made world famous by scenes filmed at the panoramic revolving restaurant at the summit, Piz Gloria, that were featured in the 1969 James Bond movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service. And one of the exhibits happens to be - BOND WORLD 007: Interactive BOND experience!
I can't wait to write to you on location and share my own experiences and pictures with you.
But for now, I'm gonna continue getting things done around here and taking it semi-easy (and that doesn't mean sitting in front of the TV) before the hecticness starts up all over again!
