Last Day of our Relaxing Island Vacation
A big, Sunny Hello from tropical Puerto Plata!
Today is our last day of vacation and we are saddened to have to depart. This has been an amazing trip, with probably the most laughs , that me and the girls have ever had while traveling. With so much time to relax and just "be," it was just what the doctor ordered for a very stressful first semester of school. It's safe to say, the girls are hooked on relaxing island vacations and we will be planning our next one soon. Yesterday brought rain on and off, but it really had no ill affect on our ability to relax. In fact, we enjoyed watching the rain from both the balcony of our room and that of one of the restaurants. Gianna enjoyed part 2 of her Christmas present - a soothing 50 minute facial. While she was chillin' at the spa, Kelsey and I sat by the pool. Getting a bit hungry, we ducked into one of the open air restaurants for a quick snack. As we were sitting, munching and chatting, the rain began to come down. I ran out quickly to grab our towels by the pool -- and just in time too -- because as I was walking back to the restaurant, it began to downpour! It was truly lovely to watch from the dry safety of our dining table. Just a few pics from yesterday below.
We have a late check out (2pm), so we'll be heading down for a little morning beach action before heading back to the room to shower and change for our evening flight.
I'll be circling back with LOTS of pictures from this relaxing island vacation as I do my re-cap on Monday. Hope you are all having a fabulous day!!! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
