GREETINGS FROM THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC!!
Hey Guys!!
GREETINGS FROM THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC!! We have settled into the relaxation of the island groove and enjoying our peaceful first full day. We arrived yesterday to glorious sunshine and a sweet breeze but alas, this morning, we awoke to rain. Although I put on my swim suit prior to checking the weather, and was slightly disappointed at not being able to sprint to the beach, the rain was oh, so peaceful and relaxing! We sat on our balcony, me and my girls, eating our breakfast and watching the morning show below (perfect view from our balcony!!!) and enjoyed the music!! The WiFi here is not great and definitely not good for uploading pics, so I’ll catch you up when it is possible. Sorry for the quickie but thank goodness for Tanya posting my blog today!!! More later!! - Travelin’ Elisa xoxo |
The Home Stretch - wish me luck!Hi guys! To be completely honest with you all - I was not planning on bopping on here today. In fact I wasn't planning on getting on the computer whatsoever. We are in the home stretch and of course I still have a ton of things to do. I finally got to begin my marathon of baking yesterday and between that and some running around, a pre-Christmas full panic attack - I lost a BIG bag of wrapped Christmas gifts! I tried to keep it together. My life and days have been so crazy hectic and I am doing most of it all so that Christmas will be perfect. Christmas is my favorite day of the year. So when the bag of gifts that I spent so much time on had disappeared I just couldn't hold it together any longer and I broke down and lost it...my composure that is. Well it so happens that Dave C. had touched my bag and had it with his bags of gifts. WHEW! This event took up too much of my time and energy. Time and energy that I just did not leisurely have. After all was well (well sort of, because I still have 2 gifts missing and 2 gifts that are going to show up late, and 8 gifts that Amazon completely LOST... UGH it's been quite a season). The day went on... Stopping for a semi-quick visit to Mika's Birthday Tea Party (for friends, the family party was the night before).
Then running around a bit more. Getting back into the kitchen to continue baking. Going to the movies - The Grinch - Mika's birthday choice.
Then one more run into Mother's Market and Kitchen. Back home to make dinner, have Mika open more presents and for me continue baking. And I was in the kitchen until 1am.
Today will be similar, but we are heading to see the Nutcracker this afternoon and then to the Newport Beach Boat Parade this evening. I'm even squeezing in a Christmas mani this morning! Hey my nails are important too. *wink
Okay gotta run, now I'm late. But at least I got to blog. See ya all soon, -Travelin' Tanya |
