Short story - I had to run into Target last night and boy was the store a huge mess of shipping boxes everywhere. It was also difficult to locate certain holiday items since they've already been moved and it almost appears that the store is prepping for the next holiday - Valentine's anyone?!
Anyhow the aisles were difficult to manuver and I had commented aloud in front of another customer at one point in my frustration as to the big mess that was in the store and how they were already transitioning the store out of Christmas. Well at this the "other" customer replied how she was already over Christmas and all of it's drama.
Wow! This was a rather sad and shocking thing to hear.
I sure am glad that I don't feel this way and I hope that you don't feel this way either. Tis the season to rejoice!
Soooooo.... This week is just so full of getting ready for Christmas - that there won't be much room to even think about anything else.
Yesterday was just absolutely non-stop running around and prepping for all the cooking that is gonna kick off at the end of this week.
We also had our IPC Holiday Party of which I had not planned in advance what I was gonna be wearing - this was an issue. Meanwhile I was go go go and trying to figure out what I was gonna wear. Which meant coming back home and finding whatever it was that I decided on. With hardly any time at home to do a quick change, grab the cameras and the kids and then run back out all over again - oh and did I happen to mention that I absolutely starving?! Well up until this point I had only had my usual breakfast of Freshly Squeezed Grapefruit Juice...
However it was already about 4:30pm and my stomach was doing more than it's share of growling - but I knew that I still had my Green Smoothie and was looking forward to it.
But then all of my haste, one quick turn and I had knocked the smoothie all over the counter! UGH
I suppose it could've been worse... But instead of being able to leave, I had to now do a good 'ol clean up job before finally heading out.
Arriving at the party was when I could finally take a deep breath and start to unwind.
The night was an overall success and the kids had a great time.
In other news: Dominic informed us that he would like to take off from his classes this week - which is a good thing and will free up our evenings.
I've got to head out again and continue shopping shopping shopping, and at some point we need to finally decorate the tree - yikes I can't beleive that it's not decorated and we only have 5 days until Christmas!
