Last Shoppin' Saturday till ChristmasHey there!! How is your weekend going so far? Today is the last shopping saturday before Christmas -- will you be heading out for those last minute gifts or have you yet to start? Elisa's Personal Countdown to Christmas To Do List I have lots to do this weekend and need to put a plan together so I don't forget anything. First, I have to make a trip to one of the nearby strip malls for some last minute gifts. I just cannot fathom going to the indoor mall today. Second, I need to get working on decorating my Christmas tree. Tedd put up our tree two nights ago, but it is still bare! I'll be picking up an additional few sets of lights for this green beauty while out and about today. It's been years since we had a real tree and I'm so happy I decided to purchase one this year! The smell of pine is absolutely delicious and fill the air in the house with the scent of Christmas! Lastly, the decorations for this year's theme need to be taken out so me and the kids can begin to adorn the tree later on. As I had mentioned in earlier blog posts, I do a different theme each year. Through the years, I've acquired tree decor in a variety of colors and themes. From Teddy Bears to Emerald City, I like to do something different each year. This year, we will be doing white lights with purple and white & silver decorations! Well, folks, off to get some stuff done!!! Have a wonderful day!! -E "It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air." | Another Fun Filled WeekendGood Day Everyone! Got a full agenda ahead of us today... Filled with 2 performances for Dominic & Cosette with the International Peace Choir (the last 2 performances for 2014), then the kiddos need to finish shopping for their dear 'ol mummy (me - lol), lots more wrapping to do - (more on this below); I've also got to shop for few things in continuance with working down my long Christmas Food shopping list, we'll be going to Eagle Hills with Jet, Andrew, and Chaplin to do a tour of the best lighted neighborhood in the OC, and lastly I need to make a vegan lasagne for Mika's birthday party (which is tomorrow)! So, now for a little catch up... Cosette finally got to do a horseback riding lesson yesterday! It's been a while, since we were out of town and each time we had something scheduled it wound up raining. She rode Pandora, a beautiful huge draft horse, while I watched, checked out the cute little barn animals, walked Lola back to her stall, and took pictures. Oh and did I mention that Pandora was HUGE?! Continuing on with my day, I also spent some time beautifying, and got my hair done. YAY! And finally, we had our first night of wrapping... I only made my way through a mere 20 gifts, but Dave and the kids were also busy working on their own piles of gifts and the kids had definitely made some headway! Well, that's about all for now... Because I've gotta run! Heading to the performances, and then having lunch at Freesoul Cafe, before tackling the rest of the day! Wishing you have a wonderful day! -T |
