With Christmas only being a week away and with all of the Holiday hustle-bustle and hecticness, plus all of the performances that are happening this weekend.
I'm just here popping in to let you know that today's "official" posting of which btw is a real doozy will be later than usual today.
Catch ya back here later gator, -T
Here I am again to fill you in on the SCOOP.
Yesterday was filled to the rim with running around and getting things accomplished in prep for the Big Fat Jolly Guy.
The kids had their annual performance for the Christian Alliance which bring hope, joy and Christmas gifts to close to 2,000 improverished kids in the Long Beach area. It's always a touching and humbling experience.
After the performance and caroling around on the nearby streets, we had made our way to grab some lunch before dropping the kids off at home with Dave C. and my mom so that Dave B. and I could hit the stores and he could focus on what to get them for Christmas. Shopping was a success and we made it back just in time to go Christmas tree shopping - which was a riot... Since we always try to go as a family it does make scheduling for this a bit difficult and us getting the tree a bit late in the season. I love being a part of watchin the wee little ones in the forest of Christmas trees as we pick out the perfect one. Well this year was a bit different as I explained that I would just follow along to whatever lot the rest of the fam bam chose...They chose a location that we had never been and off we went. Arriving on site of what seemed like a closed lot, and as we were figuring where else to go a "tree guy" came out to let us in. He pointed us in the direction of the budget which we chose and some massive trees - which btw I loved!! I love BIG trees! However my mother who likes to be the BIG BOSS LADY and for some reason she jut did NOT want a big tree whatsoever. So basically the rest of us had no say and in the end went to 4 different places before finally being able to bring a tree home! One word - RIDICULOUS! And this entire episode then put us behind schedule. We still had to run back over to Cinnaholic, pick up dinner, and then head to Matt's place for a wrapping party.
