Christmas Shopping & Wrinkle Free Travel
Hello my dear ones!
Today is one of those days - lots to do and lots of places to be. Gianna has a half day of school today so I thought I’d run into town to pick up one of my last Christmas gifts. This one is for Grandma and Grandpa. Of course I cannot tell you what I got in the event they read today’s Daily Scoop. I will be heading to the post office next Monday to mail everything so they receive it by Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, me and my gang are pretty much packed and ready for our Dominican Republic beach vacay, which is only 10 days from today!! I’m always reading different articles with tips and advice for more efficient traveling and today I was pleased to find one from Airfare Watchdog entitled: 8 Simple Steps for Wrinkle-Free Travel read more.
Honestly I thought this article was very good and had some great suggestions for keeping clothing wrinkle free. We all know how frustrating it is to open our suitcases upon arrival and discovering what a mess our neatly packed clothing looks like!
I’ve used packing cubes as well as the rolling matted and both have proven pretty successful for me. I must confess, as well, I do love Ziploc bags as well! I used these handy plastic bags for everything and anything when packing - from shoes to toiletries and even for keeping outfits together for each individual day of my trip! I've never traveled with a steamer, though I know many folks do. I just usually need all the space I can garner from my suitcase for clothes and accessories! And, of course, my beauty and hair items. Most hotels have an ironing board and iron anyway, which I find no big deal to break out and engage in a bit of pressing action once I'm at my destination. Off to cook dinner for later so it's one less thing to do this evening! Cheers! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
