Tanya's Scoop Covering the West Coast & the World CURRENTLY IN: SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA | Elisa's Scoop Covering Long Island & NYC Boroughs CURRENTLY IN: LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK A big hello to you today! I hope you are enjoying your Saturday. Here on Long Island we are having more rain. But, any of you who know me and Tanya are well aware of how much we LOVE the rain!! And as you also know, a little rain (and alot!!) has never stopped these two cousins from traveling and touring! Which reminds me of the many days we enjoyed while traveling through Vienna together in the rain back in 2015 on our European Rail Trip. Just yesterday, Tanya texted me and said "We have to plan another trip together." So folks, it looks like we two cousins will be working on getting something fun and exciting on the calendar probably for 2022. Our last Cousins Duo trip was our our European Rail Trip, which was AMAZING! I would honestly love to do something in Europe, but at this point, I'm open to anything. We'll keep you posted!! Moving right along... As a doggie mom, one of the most imporatnt things I do when I travel - whether a daycation or an extended trip, is make sure my fur baby, Punkin is well cared for. For any overnight trips, clearly, it is necessary for me to be sure she is safe and sound at her loving kennel. However, it is equally important that I provide a happy place for her to be, with lots of attention and play time when I take off on a long daycation. That's where doggie daycare plays an important role for our family. More and more doggie day care centers are popping up all over because pet parents like me want to know that their much-loved furry family member is not sitting alone at home for a long period of time. With businesses reopening and getting back to normal, I thought I would take a look at how one small business in The Bronx that is built around the pampering and caring for dogs is fairing in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic and quarantine. Come with me as we travel to the great outer borough of The Bronx! Bronx Barx -Doggie Daycare and Pup Pampering Today more than ever people hold their pets in high esteem with 60% of pet owners saying that they consider their dogs to be an additional member of the family. And while they may not warrant the need to set up a college fund, the 21st century pet owner does invest a tremendous amount of time, effort and money in their fur babies’ health and well being. So it should come as no surprise that the need for services like doggie daycare have become so popular. Leading the way in pet care and pampering is the Bronx’s own Bronx Barx. Located in the South Bronx, Bronx Barx is the only full-service doggie care facility in the borough. Catering to dog owners in the community, this Bronx neighborhood business founded by Renzo Pereda and Steven Toledo provides daycare, boarding, grooming and training. Read more... That's a wrap for me today. Going to play with my puppy!! Be back on Monday when I'll be telling you about a wonderful shopping experience on the waterfront in Staten Island!! - Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
