Tanya's Scoop Covering the West Coast & the World CURRENTLY IN: SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Hello everyone! I've made it back to SoCal safe and sound after my little road trip that took us out to Colorado and through the likes of California, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming and Colorado! *Definitely not the most direct route, but it sure was picturesque. I'm genuinely surprised that today is Wednesday. "Why?" you ask... Well somehow I went through nearly of yesterday and some of this morning thinking that yesterday was Monday! I mean what can I say, it felt like and acted like a Monday. LOL Before I get on with sharing more pictures from my road trip, I wanted to fill you in on other up and coming trips... This month: Reno and Tahoe - might squeeze in some river rafting! September: Of course I go somewhere almost every week, but I don't yet have any specific ideas for the month of September - which is weird, especially since I always go somewhere for Labor Day weekend. We shall see. October: This October is our scheduled family trip to Disney World - which we take every 4th year. It's gonna be interesting folks... I will definitely be taking Elisa's well researched advice on how to navigate the experience in this very odd year. Let's just say that it'll be a trip to remember! More to come... Now please enjoy some of the sights from Utah, Wyoming and Colorado. Well being home always means plenty of errands for me and today my errands are taking me all the way to San Diego - so I best be getting on the road! Tootles until Friday, -Travelin' Tanya | Elisa's Scoop Covering Long Island & NYC Boroughs CURRENTLY IN: STATEN ISLAND, NEW YORK Hey there! Glad you could join us today. Today, I've got some interesting reads and information for you. I'll be bringing you another installment of our Walt Disney Wednesdays with a look at 3 Steps to Creating You Disney World Trip Itinerary. Kelsey and I also included a sample of one of our 3-day itineraries for your reference! Additionally, as you are well aware, a great deal of what I blog and write about is the great NYC borough of The Bronx. For the past few years, we have built a strong relationship and friendship with the owner of Bronx Historical Tours, Ms. Alexandra Maruri. This small business owner and entrepreneur was the first Bronxit to have the vision to create tours that provide access to the many historical and cultural gems of The Bronx to locals and tourists alike. Both Tanya and I have enjoyed a number of her guided tours with Alexandra during the past few years including BHT's Historical Church Tour and Little Ireland in Woodlawn Tour, as have so many others from around the globe. As a result of her hard work for the past nearly 10 years, Alexandra was recently awarded Facebook's Small Business Grant! Very exciting news and I'm going to tell you all the details below. Before I leave you with these two stories, let me tell you about the day ahead. I'll be heading to Staten Island today for a private tour of National Lighthouse Museum, for an upcoming story to celebrate National Lighthouse Day on Friday. Unfortunately, the Museum has not reopened as of yet, but I am so thrilled to have been invited to a special one-on-one private tour! If that isn't exciting enough, the weather outside has turned around since the stormy rain and wind of yesterday which will make picture taking of the waterfront area of St. George, one of Staten Island’s main transportation hubs, that much more picturesque! I'll bring all the photos and the full story about the Museum and the celebrations planned for National Lighthouse Day to you on Friday's blog. Let me leave you with today's stories! 3 Steps to Creating Your Disney World Trip Itinerary With the post Covid-19 rules and crowd restrictions being what they are at Disney World these days, a less jam-packed itinerary may prove more enjoyable.
