Elisa's Daily Scoop | Tanya's Daily Scoop |
Hey there! OMG - how I love Disney - whether it's in California or Florida!! So much so, that we became Disney Vacation Club members back in 2009. Imagine my excitement when I saw Tanya's blog this morning (yes, she was up bright eyed and bushy-tailed writing her blog way before me, even though she is on West Coast time) and she was talking all about her upcoming trip to Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim. Catch all the details on her blog. During our trip, we stayed at Disney's Grand Californian Resort & Spas. I totally loved this place!!! What's so nice about Disneyland versus Disney World (in my humble opinion) is that this particular hotel actually overlooks the park and from our hotel window, we had a fantastic view into the magical theme park! The rooms also had bunk beds, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed!! In fact, because the bed had a trundle, Cosette was able to sleep over one night!! The month is a wonderful month to do to Disneyland or Disney World. In Disneyland in Anaheim, there is all the festivities to celebrate Halloween. While that is also the case in Disney World in Orlando, Epcot celebrates the Food & Wine Festival, adding even more excitement. And let's not forget what a great month October is weather-wise! I'm a bit prejudice being an October baby! Well, I'm gonna go all the way here with it being Throwback Thursday and take a walk down Disney Memory Lane... Why do these kids have to get big!! Well, we will have more memories this coming October when we return to Disney World in Orlando with Tanya's gang! Can't wait!! On that note, I'm going to also throw it back with a few oldies of my little girls getting haircuts!! That's a wrap for today!! Have a good one! -E xoxo | It's a good day for an Adventure - definitely a California Adventure type of day! We are officially on our way to have a very full day at one of Anaheim's Disney parks. It's been a few years since my last visit to either of these parks; which also happened to be with the choir that we are going with today. I'm pretty much considering this visit to be a warm up for our upcoming trip to Florida and all the many amusement parks that are on our schedule. But let me tell you that it has been quite a bit of work in order to prepare and get ready just to go to the park... I seriously feel like putting our bags together for this one day at the park was more difficult/trying than most of the packing I do for our trips! And speaking of which, I haven't even quite completed unpacking from our trip to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks or even...GET THIS... My trip to Vegas!!!!! Crazy I know. Plus I still haven't even put a single thing in my bag for this weekends little Los Angeles stay-cation. As far as yesterday went, we didn't manage going to the stables after all - I had to postpone that until Friday. But we did keep on our scheduled plans/appointment with getting Cosette's hair done: Yup, she went ahead and got a streak of purple! She's quite happy with it. And now I have 2 kids with strands of hair in the rainbow family. Dominic has Blue and Cosette Purple. I've actually always wondered about when or whether or not my kiddos would have interest in putting some fun colors in their hair...just like their mum has done... More to come tomorrow, PLUS look for plenty of Disney pictures and updates. But for now, it's time for us to go have some fun! Ciao, -T |
