Happy, Happy Hump Day!Howdy! Are you enjoying your day?? I am so happy, I got so much accomplished yesterday, my first full day back home. Unpacked everything, got all the laundry done and it's all away, as well as my luggage, till the next trip. The kids were glad to just "be" not to mention, watching television which they hadn't done in three weeks. Gianna has been wanting a laptop in the worse way, so yesterday, we went shopping to Best Buy. She had saved up enough money from her allowance to finally get one!! Unfortunately, she had a terrible night last night from molars that are coming in. Her mouth was all puffy and she couldn't open her mouth to eat :-( Hopefully, it will all be over in a few days - poor kid. | Dublin to NYC - Day 22Hiya everyone! As of this afternoon I will be back on USA soil. Spending our last very long day of vacation chasing the sun from Dublin to NYC and finally to Los Angeles (technically tomorrow). Breakfast in Dublin, Lunch & Dinner in NYC, and after midnight snack in Anaheim Hills! Quite the day of travel! Makes me wonder where I'll expect to be when I open my eyes tomorrow morning! Lol After spending a fabulous couple of days/nights in Ireland, which had followed a magnificent three weeks of Euro travel; touring the likes of England, Norway, Belgium, Scotland, back to England, and then Ireland. It has come time to go back to the States. In Dublin, you have the "convenience" of going through pre-clearance prior to arriving at your departure gate, and saving you from going through customs back at your USA arrival airport. Having gone through this before (on a previous trip), I definitely felt that it was a convenience. But this time I realize that was only because of the early morning departure. This time around, it was anything but a convenience! Arriving at the airport with over 2 hours to spare, we were still standing in Queue after our 10:50am departure time!! And this was already after we were called/pulled out of one line because it was nearing time for the gates to close! I had to pee pretty badly (all that tea I've been drinking), but there was simply just no time at all for such a personal use of the clock as it continued to rapidly tick away! Getting through customs was a mess. Worse than I've ever seen it anywhere else in all of my travels! Lucky for us that flights were all being held up and delayed as there were 66 passengers from just our flight alone who were stuck in this massive line! By this time tomorrow I will be cuddling with my big babies that I've missed so much and handing out all of the family gifts that I've accumulated over the course of the trip & needed 2 extra pieces of luggage for!!! Oki doki smokies, time for me to go enjoy my original home - NYC! My poor little cousin Gianna :( I hope she is feeling better today. Hate to see her in any type of pain. xoxo See ya back here tomorrow, when we can start talking about our next upcoming trips and all things in between!! In the meantime "Happy Humpday!" -T |
