Trips to Plan
It just hit me that we only have a few more weeks here in New York before school starts - yuck!!
Well, fortunately, we are in good shape - everything is in order - summer reading is completed, supplies and uniforms are in check. So, the only thing that is required is for me and the girls to get into the 6am wake up mode. That's the part I'm dreading. Oh yeah, and making lunch each day. Hate that too.
No use complaining. Just going to make the most of the next few weeks!
Now, for the fun stuff. If you read Tanya's Blog first, you might have noticed that she is talking about upcoming trips, potential trips and return trips to those places she loves.
Well, as you know, I've had a hard time being able to travel as much due to the sale of my house, which requires me to be around for showings and has me tied down financially at the moment.
It really sucks!! Because my heart, mind and soul is so frustrated being "grounded." Of course, I have had and continue to have a blast doing my completely fun Daycations and weekend trips to places nearby, but as you can imagine, I want to do both!!! lol
For those of you who know me, you are well aware that patience is not one of my virtues!!
If I have it in my head - ANYTHING - I do it right away - there is no stopping me. Well, until now, so the frustration level is quite high!
So just for fun, let me tell you what I WILL BE PLANNING like a mad woman, as soon as some circumstances change:
Amsterdam - this will be a Springtime trip to be there for the Tulip Festival. I had originally hoped it could be in the Spring of 2019, but, alas, it cannot happen.
Russia - I'm pretty sure this will be another Cousins Trip - Tanya and i are just starting to discuss this and plan it out.
Georgia - CLICK HERE to read about a bit of chatting I did in an earlier blog about this lovely country. I'm not sure if we can, but I'd love to somehow combine this with a trip to Russia. Me and Tanya are going to explore this possibility.

In fact, in honor of Georgia being on my travel plan list, here is a previously posted article on our blog, written by Josh Cahill from GoTravelYourWay.com
I should say, in driving distance. Since Amsterdam is off the list for this coming Spring, I will be taking a few short trips in the coming year. So far, I have the following:
Washington DC - I was bummed to find out that the Cherry Blossom Festival 2019 runs from March 19 - April 15th because Easter 2019 falls on April 21st. Ugh!! I had thought I would take the girls for Easter. and take advantage of the days off from school. Now, I need to select a weekend prior to Easter - and maybe see if it's possible to piggyback on a three-day weekend.
Lancaster County for Columbus Day Weekend. Last time we went, it was just me and Gianna and boy did we have fun in Lititz! I think it's time for Kelsey to experience the down-home feeling of Lancaster, the great food and of course, lovely time at a bed and breakfast!

Ok - well, before I get carried away - that is what is going on my calendar today!!
And of course, for today's article, in honor of one of these trips listed above: (Click Here or the title below)
Ok - enough dreaming and I've got to get planning!!!
More tomorrow! -E

Trips and more trips!!
No, I'm not in some far off land. Just going at ya from my home base here in Orange County, CA.
But if you know me (which most of you do by now) you know that I'm always dreaming of some far off land and making plans to go there!
As much as I love going to and exploring new places around the globe. I equally (if not more) enjoy returning to those places that already hold a special place within my heart.
While I'm busy at work planning upcoming trips such as:
Ski trips for this coming season...
Cousins trip to Sicily with Elisa
NEW TRIP - Greece
I've also got my mind on buliding new trips such as:

Plus, I'm also always trying to plug in my return trips. And the ones that are currently on my mind are:
This list goes on and on...
Well I had no intention of cutting things short here today, but something came up unexpected and I had to run out. I'm back now but in order to keep on schedule with my very busy day I must leave again in a few minutes.
UGH - just one of those days with too darn much to do!
At least I can look forward to later and relaxing at the theatre for classic movie night. This week is The Godfather Part II.
It's been years since I've seen it and this will be the first time the kids see this classic film.
