Well well well, it's another Friday and another weekend is upon us!
Just last Friday I was getting a massage on the white sand beach of Frigate Bay and hanging out on the beautiful island of St Kitts in the Caribbean!
And today I'm at home in the OC still needing to unpack and completely under the gun now because I need to pack my bag for this fun weekend that is ahead of me!
I'm going down to Sunny San Diego and it's gonna be a weekend full of Ballooning, Biking, Baseball and much much more!
It's sure gonna be a BLAST - but I have to pack first! LOL
What I did manage to unpack almost immediately upon my return on Monday was the souvenirs.
My little cutie pie Chaplin knows that her Auntie is always bringing her (and the rest of the family) goodies and she loves the event of when it comes time for me to hand out the gifts!
One of the presents that I brought back for the girlies - my nieces - Mika and Chaplin, were pretty island dresses!
I couldn't wait to see them in their new dresses!
And they couldn't wait to try them on!!
Well, aside from the packing that I need to do, I'll also be taking Cosette to the stables today to go and see Dream. Plan is to give Dream a bath/shower, which should be pretty darn refreshing if the afternoon is anything like its been lately...HOT!
I just hope that the FLY situation isn't as horrible as it was for my last visit out that way.
My fingers will be crossed - because I really really really HATE FLIES!
Another fun thing about today is that it is FOODIE FRIDAY and I have decided to share with you a little restaurant in none other than San Juan, Puerto Rico!
Check it out right HERE

And in Travel news - I'm glad to say that I've checked a few things off of my to do list and one of those things being that I booked our horseback riding for Maui.
We had an absolutely AMAZING time during our last visit (Oct. 2013)! And look forward to another AWESOME visit!
MUCH More Travel news on TRAVELIN' TUESDAY!
And to top off the day, I'll be posting a brand new Travel Article later today all about my recent trip to the Caribbean and full of fun facts and lots of pictures for you to enjoy! And to wish that you were there :)
That's about all folks! I hope to see you back here tomorrow and in the comments!

Foodie "Snack" Friday
Don't these Fridays seem to come extremely fast these days!! I feel like I was just writing my Friday blog!
How was your week? Mine just seemed to shoot by. I'll admit, it was relaxing - - -
Went into NYC one day to eat and visit Toys R Us Flagship store; I hung out with the kiddies at home, I spent some time on Netflix and finally caught up on Season 4 ofScandal.
Kerry Washington is as gorgeous as ever and it's hard to decide who is cuter - Jake (Scott Foley) or Fitz Grant (Tony Goldwyn)!!!
...And I even managed to watch a movie the other night ... Goon, a 2012 comedy about an exceedingly nice but somewhat dimwitted guy who becomes the enforcer for a minor league ice hockey team.
Considered one of the best hockey movies since the 1977 film Slap Shot, Goon was nominated for three awards at the 1st Canadian Screen Awards:
- Michael Dowse for Achievement In Direction
- Jay Baruchel and Evan Goldberg (co-writers of Pineapple Express and Superbad) for Best Adapted Screenplay
- Jay Baruchel and Kim Coates, both for Performance By An Actor In A Supporting Role.
A big fan of indie films and Liev Schrieber, I decided to watch this on Netflix (still available). Full of good dialog, well-developed characters and lots of funny one-liners, Goon also contains an underlying love story.
CLICK HERE for the official site and Goon Trailer!
Starring Seann William Scott in the lead role and Liev Schreiber as the infamous league thug, the film had a talented cast of new and familiar screen faces such as Eugene Levy and Kim Coates.
According to Rotten Tomatoes, "Goon is a crude slapstick comedy with well-formed characters and a surprising amount of heart."
I will admit, it had more gore than I had expected, making me cringe at times, but the story held my attention and was worth my time watching.
What's more, there will be a sequel in 2016, for fans, Goon: Last of the Enforcers, with the return of the same cast and writers, and the directorial debut of writer Jay Baruchel.
So, all in all, it has been a great week!!!
FOODIE FRIDAY SNACK TIME!!!
I know I've been relatively preoccupied with back-to-school - - pissed off, is more like it, with the start of school beginning this year prior to Labor Day.
But, I thought I would look on the bright side and since today is Foodie Friday, I wanted to talk about some of my favorites for school lunch snacks.
Healthy because they are Organic, Non-GMO, and in most cases Gluten-Free.
If any of these look good for your kiddies (or for you and the adults in your household!) click the "shop now" link to purchase.
Lukes Organic Chips
Luke the founder was diagnosed with celiac disease when he was 7 years old and has been on the lookout for great tasting, gluten free snacks ever since. Luke's Organic makes delicious gluten free alternatives to crackers and chips. These happen to be my favorites because I'm a kale nut, but they have may flavors and varieties.
Annie's Homegrown Bunny Grahams
Great snack sized grahams in a variety of flavors including honey, cheddar, chocolate chip and chocolate are the right size for my kiddies for their lunch snack. Annie's Bunny Grahams are made with organic ingredients, no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives and produced without antibiotics, synthetic hormones or persistent pesticides.
Finally a snack bar that is all-natural, gluten-free, low glycemic, non-GMO, and low in sodium. I was introduced to these by a girlfriend and was thrilled that they are low glycemic - what does that mean? There are many health benefits to eating foods low on the glycemic index, which help to keep blood sugar levels low which include weight loss, lowering chances of diabetes and heart disease and curbing inflammation, the leading cause of disease.
Quinn's Kale Popcorn
From the first time I tasted this popcorn with Tanya on our Yellowstone Road Trip, I LOVED it. Non-GMO verified and only 39 calories per cup, it contains real ingredients including organic kale, non-GMO US grown popcorn, high-oleic sunflower oil, and sea salt.
I'll be heading to the gym at noon, which I haven't done in months. Been doing most of my exercising at home. I'm sure I'll be sore from the work-out.
Don't miss Tanya's Foodie Friday Feature today about.....Cafe Berlin in San Juan, Puerto Rico!
I'll be back tomorrow with some great Shopping Saturday deals!!
