GREETINGS FROM GARDEN CITY!!
I'm home and pretty well settled in today. My dear cuz Tanya is home as well - I received a text from her at around 6:15 AM this morning that she was back home in Anaheim.
As for me, I was quite the busy bee yesterday upon arriving back to Long Island. Within the first hour of returning, I had cleared out my car, unpacked, put up my first load of laundry, made a visit to the bank and hit the grocery store. Not bad for productivity, if I do say so myself.
Later in the day, I picked up my sweet Punkin from Jo Mar where she had been boarded while we were away. It was so good to see my perky, loving fur baby. She was pooped when she got home.

Our drive home yesterday from Scranton was pretty uneventful (thank goodness) and traffic -free --- until we got close to the George Washington Bridge. We probably lost about 20 minutes with all the volume and merging.
The sun was out, we were all relaxed, so it really was no big deal.

Once we were passed the tolls and on the bridge, it was smooth sailin' again.
Last night, me and Gianna headed over to the gym - had a GREAT work out! A bit sore today, but all good, as I know the effort will pay off (hopefully lol).
Well, my dear ones, I'm going to get going - still have a bunch of things to do - mostly writing for you guys as well as my latest article for ThisIsTheBronx.info, for tomorrow.
Have a good one!! -E

NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 7 DAYS
Whew! We made it back safe and sound and should've been somewhat sleepy. But since it was 3am local, and yet to our bodies it was 6am and I was wide awake!
Yesterday started out fairly mellow, with some more time hanging out with Dave's family. Realizing that (hopefully) Cosette left her new rain jacket at her aunt Lynn's house, loading up and then it came time to say our goodbyes and get on the road.

Our first stop was My Vegan Sweet Tooth to pick up some cannolis. Luckily we got there when we did because they only had 4 cannolis left!!!

So along with the cannolis and a few other munch-ables we continued on our way.

After driving from Virginia Beach to DCA (3+hrs), retuning the rental with a total of 2,513 driven miles, then finding that our first flight was delayed since they were waiting on the aircraft. But it is clearly understood that we can't go anywhere without the plane. LOL
Being that our layover in Chicago was 2 hours, I really wasn't all too worried about or concerned. But then our delay became longer and longer.
We finally boarded and it seemed like we would just barely make it to our next flight. But we sat on the runway waiting for the okay and redirect via a southern route and away from all the weather in the skies above.

Up up and away! (c)travelincousins.com
After a most bumpy ride and not landing in Chicago until 9:35p and realizing that we had no chance to make the next flight, I wondered what we would do. Then I got an email stating that our second flight was also delayed. Whew.
The second flight was actually waiting on the crew from our first flight. So obviously they weren't going anywhere without us! While the kids slept I watched Game Night with Jason Bateman.
I had wanted to see it when it was out in the theaters and for some reason we didn't. It was entertaining and a good light watch for being in the skies. Because in my opinion there is no need to watch a stressful flick while in flight.
Finally arriving after 1am and being picked up by Dave with a lovely and beautiful welcome home bouquet and meeting-you anniversary present!!

As you could imagine, most of the gang was sound asleep when we arrived back at home. But mummy and Brigitte were awake and welcomed us with huge a warm embrace.
I forced myself to go to bed and tried to get back on a normal schedule today.
One thing that means to me is planning trips and travel!
