Hiya folks, I am coming at you from the road so pardon my very short blog today. I’m heading up to Fairfield California right now. I’ve got a business meeting and then will be back home tomorrow. Fun stuff! Yesterday was Andrew‘s birthday and the weather was so hot and muggy. Luckily it was quite eventful indoors with plenty of A/C! But come sunset we were off to the beach! I’ll be heading to Reno on Friday and back on Monday so I’ll be sure to fill you in on all the fun happening up there in around Truckee Lake and Lake Tahoe. Again I’m sorry for such a shorty but the connection really isn’t good. -Travelin' Tanya | Hey there! Well, I have to tell you, this Long Island/New York weather is crazy lately. It's sunny and fair one minute and then out of nowhere, the skies open up and it's pouring. Today is a wet, rainy and thundery day. I don't really mind that much because I have lots to write today. New Decade - New Life Have I told you guys that when I moved out of my old house, I decided not to take much at all. I really wanted to start off fresh. My motto has been "New Year - New Decade - New House - New Life" and as such, I decided to make a clean sweep and get rid of the old stuff as well. Except for a few light fixtures (which I loved!!) and a mirror and accessory piece here or there, me and the girls had a blast designing our new home with brand new furniture and accessories. While the renovation of our house was happening, we gals were either online or in the stores (pre-covid-1 9) picking out all new furnishings for each of the rooms. Here's a few photos of our new open concept kitchen-dining room before and after AND a before and after of the kitchen. Now, the one thing I did NOT anticipate was the need to assemble so many items! lol. That's right, from our new backyard set and seating to our kitchen counter stools and most recently, my new office desk and chair, it's been me and Gianna putting all of these new items together! It's been an adventure to say the least!! Moving along... We did not forget that today is Walt Disney World Wednesdays here on the Scoop! As I probably mentioned, me and my trio are in the early stages of planning our Spring 2021 Disney World Trip. What usually happens is that our discussions go something like this:
Let me tell you, nothing gets past my girl Kelsey and for the past three trips, she has put together some serious Kick-Butt Disney World trip itineraries!! However, this trip is sure to be a bit different in the wake of Covid-19 and the new health safety rules, regulations. As of right now, during our family's initial conversations about MUST DO's and MUST INCLUDE's, there is a bit of disappointment about which attractions are closed. If you are planning a trip in the very near future to Walt Disney World in Orlando, you may want to take note of some of the ongoing closures. Kelsey and I have put together a short list of our favorite attractions and experiences that are not as yet opened to guests for your reference. The good news is - there are a number of new attractions that have opened and ARE currently opened! Know Before You Go - Guide to Walt Disney World Experiences That Are Currently Closed Magic Kingdom Currently Closed Attractions Enchanted Tales with Belle My gang is too old for his, but if you have a little princess who was looking forward to meeting Belle, she will have to meet her another time. Frontierland Shootin' Gallery This indoors event is currently unavailable to give your best shot. Monster, Inc Laugh Floor We always love checking in with Mike Wazowski and the Monster's, Inc gang in Tomorowland for this interactive attraction, however, it is temporarily closed. A Pirate's Adventure - Treasure of the Seven Seas Usually you can pick up a talisman that magically allows you to read a secret treasure map at The Crow's Nest in Adventureland, where you can fend off enemies, evade capture and complete each mission in hopes of earning a hand-signed card by Captain Jack Sparrow. For now, this is not possible with the temporary closure. Tomorrowland's Transit Authority People Mover This is one of Kelsey's all-time favorites! We ALWAYS take a ride around Tomorrowland on this very relaxing 10-minute tour. I sure hope it's reopened when we visit in the Spring! Walt Disney World Railroad You'll have to wait a while before you are able to hop aboard this railroad which brings visitors from Main Street to Fantasyland and Frontierland because it's currently not running. Magic Kingdom Temporary Dining Closures Many places are currently closed, which is very sad because one of our favorite activities on our Disney World trips is eating! Here are just a few dining locations which are closed, including which are favorites of my gang: Casey's Corner, Cheshire Cafe, Cinderella's Table, Columbia Harbor House, Cool Ships, The Crystal Palace (favorite!)
