Tanya's Daily Scoop
CURRENTLY TRAVELING IN: EUGENE, OREGON
Wifi woes
I'm finally here. Am I late? Why yes I am. Am I worth it? ALWAYS!
So I had some more internet issues - but we also really had to get on the road - breakfast was in order and heading over to Multnomah Falls. But all of this good stuff will be shared in tomorrow's posting.
For now we focus on yesterday - hence THE DAILY SCOOP.
It seems like I am still having internet issues and cannot upload pics.
What a real pain in the butt. GRRR
I have so many pictures to share with you from our road trip yesterday.
Our day started with a lovely breakfast at The Ravens Restaurant, which is located at the Stanford Inn and just steps away from our room.

*I will continue adding pics as soon as I am able to.
Well after a couple of hours on the road we had arrived at one of our planned stops - to see the Drive-Thru Tree in Leggett, CA. The Chandelier Tree.
*Drive-Thru Tree Park is a privately-owned grove that has been operated by the Underwood Family since 1922. In 1937 the Chandelier Drive-Thru Tree was added to provide a unique treat for travelers. Visitors have been taking pictures of their vehicles inside the opening ever since.
While I had every intention of driving thru this tree - I just felt that the mini-van we rented might just be a bit too big and thus we did not drive thru (although we watched several vehicles drive thru and one SUV that got it's sides all scraped up, because the vehicle was just too big).
I guess we'll have to come back in a smaller car to drive thru ourselves.
In the meantime it was fun to watch and we took plenty of pictures.
Staying in Eugene, of you know that we had to eat at the Cornbread Cafe..

So there really weren't many other planned stops. It was an 8.5 hour drive, and there were many portions of the road that had been under construction and with a road crew out there directing and piloting traffic along one lane.
These extra unplanned stops had taken quite a bit of time and with that aside from pitstops we really had to keep moving...if we were going to make it to the cafe before 9pm.
But there was one unplanned stop that I just couldn't resist! Can you guess what that was?
The answer will be in a picture - once I can finally upload again. So stay tuned and meet me back here for more!!
See ya soon,
