Tanya's Scoop Covering the West Coast & the World CURRENTLY IN: SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Hello everyone! It's another Monday and a new week. I'll be honest with you that last week was totally weird... Was there some weird planet that rules all schedules in retrograde or something?! Boy oh boy am I hoping that this week is a bit more normal and that things go according to schedule. My weekend was fairly relaxing and emotionally draining all rolled into one. I definitely appreciated the relaxing part where I was actually home. And as for the emotionally draining part, well given the opportunity I'd drop that like a hot potato. But I guess that wasn't quite in the cards. I did manage to do some shopping this weekend which was pleasant and successful. I was in the market for a water pik/flosser; and had my eyes on the Sonic-Fusion the World's 1st Flossing Toothbrush. I was super excited and eager to buy it. It's my gotta have it mentality. And now as usual I'm never as eager to open the box and take it out. Yeah I can be pretty odd about a few things. I'll let you know what I think, once I finally break it open and start playing with it. Another item on my list was getting a new external hard drive for my oh so many pictures. I knew that my current external hard drive was running low on space, but the when I was about to jump into a project yesterday morning, I ran into all sorts of computer issues - all based on lack of disk space... *Just so that you are fully aware - I also have a brand new computer (that I luv) that I have yet to put into use. SMH So much of my day was fiddling with the computer and getting quite frustrated. Hours and hours later I was so freakin happy when I finally started to make a break through and see some production. Aren't computers suppose to make our lives easier and less frustrating?? Well like I said earlier, I sure hope that this week is more agreeable and less frustrating. To unwind, a group of us went over to Michael's place last night and played JackBox.tv It's an interactive game "system" through the TV and your smart device. This was only my second time playing and bother times were a blast! Next time you have some friends over and are looking for something fun to do - you should definitely check it out. Oh and not sure I've mentioned it to you yet, but our October cruise got cancelled - not a huge surprise. But now that means I have to work on the rest of our plans for that week since we'll now be staying in Florida. I've got a few ideas that I'll share with you soon. But that's about it for today. It's time for me to head out and get this week started! Ciao 4 Now, -Travelin' Tanya | Elisa's Scoop Covering Long Island & NYC Boroughs CURRENTLY IN: LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK Hey Guys and welcome to a new week!! It's been super hot here on Long Island and I wont lie - I've spent a great deal of my time indoors. As you know, I moved into my newly renovated, new home in early June and I'm still getting things settled. This weekend I did some internet shopping for a new desk for what will be my new office on the first floor. I'm so excited to have a brightly lit work space! I realize that I've kept the suspense going on what our new abode looks like, but I will be dedicating a full blog to the renovation with lots of pictures - before and after - in a few more weeks. And with the ways things are this summer, I'm super happy me and the girls have a nice place to hang out. In years past we have joined Lifetime Fitness for the summer. But, it is just not possible this year. So, we all need to be creative about how we amuse and entertain ourselves with safety requirements and social distancing being what it is. In fact, today, I want to tell you about some fun to be had in the great outer borough of Staten Island! However, on State Island, the waterfront Empire Outlets, New York City's first and only outlet destination, has figured out a way to bring back some fun for locals and visitors with its Free new programming on-site. Beginning August 1, families, wellness seekers and anyone looking for ways to spend a lovely summer day can enjoy four new FREE wellness activities surrounded by Staten Island's iconic water views. With its nearly four acres and 350,000+ square-feet of open-air, outdoor space located along the North Shore waterfront, Empire outlets has created four ways to fill up your calendar throughout the week this summer.
