Elisa's Daily ScoopThrowin' it Back to DisneyGood Day to you!!! Can you believe April is over?? In my humble opinion, Spring doesn't really begin till May. That's when all the flowers are in full bloom, the temps begin to be consistently warm and it harkens that Summer is just around the corner! Today, I'm up at bat for a Throwback story. Sixteen years ago, I took a WONDERFUL trip with my daughter, Rebecca (now 24) to Disney World - just me and her!! I can honestly say, it was one of the best and "funnest" trips in my life! (CLICK HERE FOR FULL STORY) I hope you enjoy reading about it. I have so much to do today. First I am making a big batch of Lentil Stew for my family and for Denise's. She's got some stuff going on all day tomorrow, so I thought I would give her a break and bring her some dinner - one less thing for her to do. My chores this morning include: - Going to Paint Store to pick up some swatches for Denise's Rental Apartment from which we'll choose a color - Lunch with my Dad and sister Danielle - Pick up the kids from bus Stop - Physical Therapist for Gianna (she needs to work on strengthening her core to help our her back) - Home for homework - Head to Denise's to bring dinner and set a plan of action for our "work day" this coming Sunday on her rental apartment. Last, but not least, I'll be exercising and going to sleep!!! Folks, I'm sorry that this blog is a short one - I hate when I'm forced to do this - but I'll never get everything done. Promise, I'll have lots more to say tomorrow!! Enjoy your day!! -E xoxo | Tanya's Daily ScoopIt's a VERY Special Day!Howdy all! Today is my dear sweet niece Chaplin's 4th Birthday! I can't believe that she's already 4 years old! These darn kids grow too fast! Back in 2011, almost four years to be exact and just before this cutie pie was born I had a flight to catch. (I'm always going somewhere!) Dave and I were going on a cruise. My sister had gone into labor a few days prior and I thought (hoped) that I'd have the chance to meet the new addition to the family before we left. But hence that was not the case...I suppose not everyone has babies as quickly and easily as I did! LOL So off we went on our trip. First stop Miami! As soon as we landed the first thing I did was call to check in on the status... But still no baby. On the following day we were on a private island in the Bahamas... Jet skiing, parasailing, being mesmerized by the waves and the swaying palm trees, enjoying the feeling of sand between our toes and soaking up the warm rays of sunshine (while wearing something like 50spf Sunblock of course!) And then between activities I get a text message... It was a birth announcement that a niece was born! Once the vacation was over, we had returned home and life would never be the same! For there was a new family member to tug at my heart strings and for me to love. For us all to love! So today is Chaplin's day and will be designed by her! She woke up extra early filled with the excitement of the day! She's bouncing around up and down because she can hardly contain herself. Smiling from ear to ear. Her smiles are huge and contagious. She's a little foodie (runs in the family) and she's planned out all of the meals for the day - so darn cute! Not to worry, I'll be taking lots of pictures and fill you in on everything tomorrow... which also happens to be the kick off of our Road Trip!! As for yesterday, it was a hectic day that was spent mostly on the road and in traffic. The highlight was definitely getting to stop by and see my dear friend Cherryl on her birthday! So while I've done a number of throwbacks on this TBT, it happens to be Elisa's turn to share a Throwback Thursday Travel story with us all! This week she takes us back to Orlando in 1999 and to Disney World! Read it HERE Well, it's time for me to go celebrate! I'll catch ya back here tomorrow :) -T |
