My Sad Travel News, Touring The BronxGood day folks, It was nice to sign onto The Daily Scoop this morning and see that Tanya had already added her blog!! I have missed seeing her updates for the past several days! SAD NEWS: I finally made a decision yesterday about my upcoming "Taste of Sicily" Trip. I have decided NOT to go. I cannot believe I have just written this and I cannot tell you how saddened, disappointed and upset I am about not joining my dear cousins on this trip. With all that is going on with Dad these days, and there is still much more ahead, I just cannot leave the country for two weeks. I would be preoccupied and very worried if I did so. Of course, I am so upset because Tanya and I have painstakingly planned this trip and I wanted to visit the homeland (Sicily) together for the first time. This decision felt quite impossible to do and while I can't even really talk about this without feeling the urge to cry., I'm relieved that I made A decision. So, for now, I'll leave it at that. I am so excited about today's article in the Weekday Magazine in ThisIsTheBronx: Bronx Latina Puts Touring The Bronx on the Map Not only is this woman a brave entrepreneur who followed her passion and her dreams, turning them into a reality, but she is also one of the nicest person with which I've ever had the pleasure of working. The other was a super fun (and rainy!) day this past summer with Tanya on Bronx Historical Tours' Historic Church Tour. Alexandra has built quite a phenomenal company, servicing visitors locally and from all over the world since 2011 and putting The Bronx on the map!! (read full story). Here's to the start of a great weekend!! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo | A layover at HOME!Hiya guys! This past few days have been somewhat of a whirlwind. I have traveled over 3,000 miles. Been to Phoenix, Tucson, Houston, San Antonio and lots of open road in between. There have been storms, rainbows, Baseball and Brazilian Coffee. This is going to be a recap of my road trip. Keyword "going". Don't get all too excited about me being here. And yes I know that I've been a naughty girl by not taking the time to bop on here the past 2-3 days. I'm just bopping in right now, but I will come back this afternoon. To upload some pictures and tell you more about where I've been and where I'm going...in 5 days! -Travelin' Tanya |
