Elisa's Daily ScoopBeauty, Brownies and ClairvoyantHowdy! Hump Day Already?? All I can say is, thank goodness I'm completely on schedule with my "to do" list so far this week. It's been a crazy week with LOTS to do in preparation for my Yellowstone trip this Saturday. Today, I have four major things to get done (not counting getting kids to school, picking them up and homework.) These include: 1) Drop off Gianna's Dress at the Seamstress to be altered for Father-Daughter Dance this Friday night 2) Manicure/Pedicure 3) Build-A-Bear Brownie Field Trip 4) Appointment with Psychic this evening. Yes folks, you read number 4 correctly! Ever since I was a young adult, I've enjoyed going for psychic readings. For the past ten years, I've been seeing one psychic in particular. He has been so spot-on with what he's told me about the past and the events that unfolded in the future!! I know people have mixed feelings about it, but for me, I've always enjoyed hearing what may or may not be in my possible future. We'll see what happens and what I'm told later. So, hopefully, it will be some interesting and good news that I'll be hearing! Rebecca is going to be joining me and will have her own private reading as well! Last time I went was about six years ago, in March - four months after my dear Grandma Rose passed away. Lots has changed in my life since then, and I'm looking forward to having a new reading after all these years!! Following Tanya's Road Trip... So what do you think of Tanya's Road Trip?? She got a jump on our Cousins' Yellowstone Road Trip starting with one of my all-time favorite cities - San Francisco! --->>>--->>>--->>>---->>>--->>> I'm so jealous! I wish we could have flew out West and met her gang in S.F. and began the trip there!! Yesterday, I went to Kohls and got the goods the new lined rain jackets and warm socks for walking the trails through Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. That was the last of my last minute purchases for this trip - YAY!!! Suitcases are all packed!! W2GW (Where to Go Wednesday) I know in the past I have not been as good with our W2GW features as my dear cousin Tanya, but today I found a list of FUN SPRING FESTIVALS this Spring in NYC posted in Time Out New York. I know it's a bit of a cheat posting an article link, but, there are a few things on this list that I am intrigued with and want to try to fit into my schedule during the next month or so. It’s W2GW (Where To Go Wednesday) and I had some help with todays suggestions from Dave B. Check it out below!! Here’s an update from my road trip: First let me mention just how fabulous fabulous fabulous things are going! Greetings from the City of Redding in Northern California located in the County of Shasta. Now you might think (just like I did) that Mount Shasta is also in the County of Shasta, but it is actually in Siskiyou County, California. Mount Shasta rises 11,000 feet at the base for a total elevation of 14,162 feet above sea level. One of the nation's largest rises, ranking 49th. It has a 17 mile diameter with 5 glaciers and is a prominent northern California landmark of which we’ll be driving past this early morning. Our first stop this morning is Crater Lake National Park, then we’ll continue to Bend, Oregon and follow that up with a scenic drive that is considered to be one of the most beautiful drives in the states! As far as yesterday went, we were perfectly successful at completing everything on our itinerary…which is always awesome! Check out the pictures: We were each in Cinnamon Roll Heaven! Cosette enjoyed her custom made Maple Pecan Cinnamon Roll so much that she nearly cried!!! They ARE that GOOD!!!!!!! W2GW (Where to go Wednesdays): The first suggestion is the Sea Otter Classic cycling festival in Monterey, CA (side note - we'll be visiting Monterey in June) From April 16-19, 2015 The four-day event is considered the world's largest cycling festival! And this year they are celebrating the 25th Anniversary! With lots to see and do, it looks like there is fun for the entire family and it even draws a crowd from around the globe! You should definitely check this one out! For more INFO click HERE I know that Dave would just love it if we were able to attend! And he'd be ecstatic if we were able to participate!! Hopefully I can get this event on the calendar for us sooner than later... Next up is going to visit the Space Shuttle Endeavour at the California Science Center in Los Angeles. Orbiter Vehicle-105 completed 25 missions into space, including the first service mission to the Hubble Space Telescope and the first mission to add a U.S.-built component to the International Space Station. A $2 timed reservation is required on weekends, holidays, and the high attendance periods below. Please call (213) 744-2019 for group reservations. *Weekdays April 13th through May 15th from 10:00am to 12:45pm Your timed reservation reflects the time at which you may enter the Endeavour line. It does not reflect the exhibit entry time. Crowd flow is hard to predict, wait times may vary. And lastly a fun ongoing event to mention that is practically in our back yard (Anaheim, CA) and happening every Wedesnday evening at Starlight Cinemas - Cinema City Cinema Classics! This week they are showing the 1983 comedy release 'Trading Places' with Eddie Murphy & Dan Akroyd. Click HERE for more info!! I do hope that you enjoyed the pics, plan to do some of the fun W2GW ideas, and come back tomorrow for lots more when I’ll be greeting you from the Oregon state capitol of Salem! Take care, -T |
