Elisa's Daily ScoopTravelin' Tuesday about BratislavaHey there!! I know it's only Tuesday, but my Monday was soooo jam packed that I feel like it should be Thursday lol. I was extremely productive yesterday and got everything on my list completed. In fact, I even did a few things that I had scheduled in for today! Don't ya just love when that happens! I even managed to get to the car wash which wasn't on my list at all! I'm in good shape! Last night, me and the girls finished packing our suitcases for Yellowstone this weekend - what a relief this is! A few last minute items in our carry-ons and we are ready to rock and roll this saturday. As Tanya gets on the road today for the first segment of our Cousins Yellowstone Road Trip, I'm going to be catching up on a few "to do's" including a hair appointment. A big - BON VOYAGE to Tanya and Gang and we'll see you in Jackson Hole later this week!! More about Tanya and Elisa's Eastern Europe Road Trip... The past few Tuesdays, I've focused on the first three cities of our Eastern Europe trip this June/July - Prague, Krakow and Budapest. Next stop will be Bratislava, Slovakia! This city will have us staying in a hotel. While it's one of the shortest stays during our time in this part of the world, there are still a number of sites we will be squeezing into our limited time. Here's what's on our agenda to see and do in Bratislava: Day 1 Old Town Hall Primatial Palace St. Elizabeth's Church (The Little Blue Church) St. Martin's Cathedral Bratislava Castle Day 2 Bratislava Castle Devin Castle (Boat Ride to the Castle) Maybe Ballet Day 3 St. Michael's Street & St. Michael's Gate Novy Most ("New Bridge") When researching the museums and castles to see in Bratislava, it was clear that many of them are closed on Mondays. As luck would have it, our first two days in this city will be a Saturday and Sunday - Whew!! We'll save our last day - Monday for walking around St. Michael's Street and relaxing before heading off to Vienna. Well, folks, another day of errands for me!! Have a fabulous day!! -E xoxo | Tanya's Daily ScoopOn the Road again!Leaving Smog-land for Fog-land then Log-land and Beyond! Ok folks, today's the day we hit the road and begin our 7th vacation of 2015!!! The kids are I loaded up the car last night and got on the road this morning. I actually chose to leave during rush hour traffic! Why?? Because I really didn't feel that it was necessary for us to leave by 5:15am (the latest time we could leave without hitting traffic), and I also didn't want to want until 10am (when traffic finally dies down). The first leg of our voyage will be 6hrs long and we'll be up in one of my favorite cities... San Francisco to do a little bit of shopping and going to the Palace of Fine Arts. We're not staying in SF this time around (as we will be back next month and the month after). We're heading up to Redding, CA where we we'll have our first pitstop and the first night's stay. But, before getting up to Redding, on our way we'll also be stopping in Berkeley for one very special stop - Cinnaholic! Cinnaholic is a cinnamon roll lovers paradise...custom made cinnamon rolls that are the absolute bomb! We can't wait and we are totally stoked about each and every day of this trip! It's gonna be soooo much fun and oh so beautiful! I'll be taking plenty of pictures and still posting daily with all of our updates, so stay tuned and also please be sure to vote for us! --->>>--->>>--->>>--->>>--->>>--->>>--->>> Also, if you ever have any questions or suggestions for us, we'd really love to hear them! Please share your thoughts in the comment section. I best be getting back on the road! Catch ya'll from Redding in the morning as we get on the road and head to Crater Lake NP, Bend and Eugene, ending the night in Salem, Oregon!!! Toodles, -T |
