Friday Again

Good day!!! How are you today!

Here we are at the start of another weekend.  
I cannot believe how fast this week went.  The kids are not thrilled that their vacation is almost over.  

The good news is that we will be going away a week from tomorrow on our Cousin's Yellowstone Road Trip!!  I will be taking them out of school for that week.  I'm such a bad mommy for taking my kids out of school so much! Oh well.

Not to repeat what Tanya has said in her Daily Scoop, but yes, it is National Siblings Day today!  I think about how I would ever survive with out my dear sister, Danielle.  She is my best friend and confidant and I love her dearly!!!  

A big shout out to her for all the strength she gives me and the love she shows me!!! xoxo

According to wikipedia, National Siblings day is a holiday recognized annually on April 10th.  However, unlike Mother's Day and Father's Day, it is not federally recognized.  Since 1998, 39 states have officially issued proclamations to recognize Siblings Day in their state. 
 

And speaking of siblings - my Foodie Friday feature today is about a recent visit to L'ybane with my sissy a few weeks ago.  This was my second time to this Lebanese-Mediterranean restaurant, and I'm sure it will not be my last!

Ok folks, so I'll be heading to the Metropolitan Opera tomorrow night to see Ernani with Placido Domingo.  I'm hoping that the weather is nice tomorrow.  Today is not that great out - misty, gray and chilly.  I'm crossing my fingers for sunny and dry for tomorrow.

Who else loves Fridays?

Well Hellooooo there!

So glad that you could make it! It's Friday and the beginning of the weekend for most folks. 

Being that it's Friday, makes it FOODIE FRIDAY here at Travelin' Cousins - Read Elisa's Review HERE
and today (April 10th) also happens to be 
National Siblings Day! So get on out there and give your siblings a hug! No sibling rivalry today!

I am pretty much finished with packing both my luggage and Dominic's for the upcoming Cousins Yellowstone Road Trip. Cosette's bag is left to do, and hopefully I can bang that out this afternoon.

Nothing too exciting going on today or this weekend for us. 
I'll be doing some odds and ends for the trip today, (we leave in 4 days!!!) and running around to pick up some supplies. 
Then later on tonight the kids have a 3 hour choir rehearsal and while they're at choir, Dave and I plan to have some tea time and go tent shopping.

We have a very nice backpacking tent, but it doesn't really do the job comfortably for more than 2 adults; and since we have one night of camping at Monument Valley on our Moab and Southwestern National Park Road Trip, plus the night of camping before our Gladiator Mud Run up in San Jose in June, I think we'll all be happy with something a bit more spacious! 

I took Cosette to her Horseback Riding lesson yesterday. Lately she's been riding a rather tall 17 hand horse fittingly named 'Thor', and she is just loving it! They are definitely a good match!

Then went to get my nails done and I gotta say...I just love the new color!

Didn't get too much accomplished while at Dominic's classes, however we did manage to book our Ferry ride over to Catalina Island for the upcoming planned weekend that we are all signed up for to do our 2nd Catalina Gran Fondo.

Yup, I'm a sucker for putting my body through hell!

Speaking of which...today is Day 10 of my 100 Day Fitness Challenge. Only 90 more Days to go! 
Which means that I've done 1000 push ups in the past 10 days! Wowzers! I rock!!
Who knew that I could do 100 push-ups a day?! 
I sure as heck didn't know that?!
It's actually not all that bad and that's only a portion of the challenge.
Guess I'm gonna have some "guns" to show for it pretty soon! Hahaha

Oki doki, that about does it for today!
